I finally got around to trying the calzone they offered during the special 'test' promotion last night. Honestly, I was skeptical because the name sounds so random, but the crust was surprisingly flaky and the filling was rich. They claim it's a 'game-changer' for their food menu, but I think it's just a gimmick to get us to play more. My only complaint is that the dipping sauce was way too sweet and overpowered the cheese. Overall, it was decent, but I wouldn't rush back for it just because it's tied to a bonus round.

I was there last weekend. The calzone itself was great, but I totally agree about the sauce. It was sickly sweet.

Seriously, they should just sell the calzone as a standalone item. Linking it to the bonus round feels manipulative. It's a gimmick, plain and simple.

Short and sweet. Flaky crust wins.

Did anyone else find the dipping sauce was more like candy syrup than a dip? It completely ruined the balance of the cheese and savory filling. I almost sent it back.

I think you might be overthinking the 'gimmick' part. Sometimes casinos do these things to draw people in, and if the food is good, it makes the overall experience better, even if the promotion is weird.

Replying to the sauce comment: I thought the sauce was too acidic, not too sweet. It cut through the richness of the cheese too much. Maybe they need a balsamic reduction instead?

I actually loved it! It was surprisingly filling and the crust was perfect. Don't let the promotion aspect scare you. Just go for the food.

Wow, I'm glad someone else mentioned the flaky crust. I usually find casino food to be greasy and heavy. This was a nice change of pace.

To the person who said it was manipulative: I understand your point, but honestly, the calzone was so good that I almost forgot I was participating in a 'test'. I'd go back just for the food.

It was decent, but not amazing. I expected more for a 'game-changer' item. Maybe they should focus on improving the actual recipe instead of just promoting it.

I'm going to try it next time, despite the dipping sauce warning. I'm really craving a good, flaky crust calzone.

I think the problem isn't the sauce, it's the ratio. It needs to be less sweet and more tangy. Maybe a little hint of lemon zest in it?

I found it okay. Nothing revolutionary, but definitely better than the standard pizza they usually serve. Worth a try if you're already gambling anyway.

It was surprisingly rich. I'm going to tell my friends about this. Great find!

If they want to make it a permanent menu item, they need to fix the sauce and maybe offer a vegetarian filling option. The current offering felt too limited.

Agreed with the lemon zest idea. A little tartness would balance out the richness of the cheese and the sweetness of the sauce. Otherwise, solid 7/10.
