My partner and I are planning a getaway to the MGM Beau Rivage next month, and we are feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options. We aren't hardcore gamblers, but we definitely want to experience the atmosphere and maybe try some nice dining. Does anyone have tips on how to balance the casino experience with other activities? Should we focus on the spa, or are the nearby attractions better? Any advice on booking dinner reservations or finding good non-gambling entertainment would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely prioritize the non-casino areas. The resort grounds are beautiful for a stroll, especially in the evening when the lights are on.

For dining, I highly recommend making a reservation at the Italian spot. It's romantic, and the ambiance is perfect for a couple's night out without needing to be near the gaming floor. Book weeks in advance!

You should aim for a mix. Dedicate Saturday morning to the spa and perhaps some light window shopping. In the afternoon, explore the nearby attractions or just relax by the pool. For dinner, try to book something with a view. Don't feel pressured to spend all your time in the casino; the resort has plenty of lovely spots for couples to unwind and enjoy a nice meal. Remember to check out the local entertainment schedule; sometimes the best shows aren't inside the main casino area. A good balance means enjoying the atmosphere without the pressure of gambling, which is exactly what you seem to be looking for. This approach ensures you get the 'Beau Rivage' experience without the 'gambler' experience.

Oh, the Italian spot is great! Do you think it's too pricey for a casual dinner, or is it worth the splurge for a special occasion?

Regarding reservations, use the hotel's official website or call directly; sometimes third-party sites are outdated. For non-gambling entertainment, check out the local theater listings or even a nice cocktail bar that isn't directly attached to the gaming area. If you want a structured plan, consider booking a package that includes a spa treatment and a dinner credit. This helps budget and ensures you hit all the desired activities. Don't forget to check out the resort's shuttle schedule to nearby attractions, which can save you time and stress.

I found the spa fantastic! It's a perfect way to start the trip. If you book a couple's massage, you can then spend the evening enjoying a nice dinner and feeling totally relaxed. It really sets a wonderful tone for the whole weekend.

Don't just focus on the big shows. Sometimes the best entertainment is just wandering through the beautifully lit walkways and enjoying a cocktail at a quieter lounge. It gives you that 'fancy' resort feeling without the loud, overwhelming energy of the main casino floor. It's about atmosphere, not necessarily spectacle.

Thanks for the tips! Should I book the spa treatment right away, or wait until closer to the date to see if there are better deals?

If you want a perfect balance, here's a sample itinerary: Friday evening, arrive and enjoy a cocktail at a lounge bar. Saturday morning, spa treatment. Saturday afternoon, explore the grounds and grab lunch. Saturday evening, a nice dinner reservation followed by a non-casino show. Sunday, a relaxed brunch and departure. This structure keeps the pressure low and maximizes the enjoyment of the non-gambling amenities.
