I've been playing DraftKings for a while now, but I feel like I've hit a plateau with my earnings. I'm looking to take my approach to daily fantasy sports more seriously. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out if I should focus more on high-volume, low-salary players, or if I should be risking it all on a few star players to maximize my ceiling. Has anyone here had success with specific stacking strategies, or maybe a good resource for finding undervalued players that the general public overlooks? Any advice on managing my salary cap effectively would be greatly appreciated.

The balance is key. You need some volume guys to save salary for the stars, but don't neglect the volume guys entirely. A 60/40 split usually works best.

I found that focusing too much on 'undervalued' players is risky unless you have deep knowledge of matchups. Sometimes, the safe bet on a star player who is projected high is actually the best play.

Stacking is huge. Always check if the players you are stacking are on the same team and have similar roles. It maximizes correlation and minimizes risk.

Short answer: Focus on correlation. Don't just look at salary; look at who is likely to perform well together.

To address the salary cap: I use a system where I assign a 'value score' to every player, not just based on salary, but on their expected output relative to their cost. This helps me prioritize who gives the most bang for the buck.

I disagree that you should ignore volume guys. They are the safety net. If the stars have an off day, your floor drops to zero. You need reliable points from multiple sources.

Have you looked into proprietary DFS tools? Some paid sites run advanced regression models that can pinpoint undervalued assets based on historical data and matchup adjustments.

Always check the opposing team's defensive metrics. A star player might be undervalued if their opponent has a historically weak defense against their position.

I think the best strategy is to build a core of 2-3 high-confidence, high-ceiling players, and then fill the remaining spots with high-floor, low-cost players. This gives you both upside and a solid baseline.

Reply to the user above: I think the 'value score' method is brilliant. Have you factored in weather conditions or last-minute lineup changes into that score? That's where most models fail.

Never bet on a single player, no matter how good they are. Diversification is everything in DFS. Spread your risk across multiple positions and teams.

I recommend checking the 'Game Script' before setting your lineup. If the game is predicted to be low-scoring, you should pivot entirely away from high-variance, high-salary players.

For finding undervalued players, I spend hours analyzing play-by-play data from previous weeks, looking for players who consistently get high usage rates even when their overall projected points are lower.

Short and sweet: Target high-correlation stacks. It's the easiest way to boost your ceiling without blowing your salary cap.

I've found that focusing on the 'Underdog' approach works best when the contest prize pool is massive. You are aiming for the massive payout, not just a safe return.

If you are struggling with the plateau, maybe you need to adjust your bankroll management first. Treat DFS like a long-term investment, not a quick win. Set strict loss limits.
