I've been trying to get my Nollimit City base established, but I keep getting bogged down in resource management. I'm aiming for a self-sustaining setup that can handle both industrial output and residential needs without constant manual labor. Does anyone have experience with a solid initial build order, maybe focusing on early power generation or advanced farming first? I'm currently struggling to balance my energy consumption with my material gathering rate, and I feel like I'm making slow progress. Any tips on optimizing the first 50 in-game days would be hugely appreciated!

Focus on power first. Seriously. If you can't power the basic infrastructure, nothing else matters. Get a couple of solar arrays and a small generator going immediately.

I found that prioritizing advanced farming was key. Don't waste time on heavy industry early on. Focus on food surplus to stabilize your population, then worry about the power grid. It drastically reduces early game stress.

The initial resource gathering phase is brutal. Just set up automated mining lines for basic materials (wood, stone, iron) and keep a small stockpile of food. Don't try to build everything at once.

How about starting with water purification? Clean water is often overlooked, but it's a massive bottleneck for both residential and industrial growth. Make that your absolute priority.

I disagree about power being the absolute priority. If your food supply fails, the power grid doesn't matter. Build the farm, then the power. It's a food-first strategy.

Totally agree with the food-first approach. Also, remember to scout for resource nodes early. Knowing where the good ore is saves hours of travel time later on.

For the first 50 days, I recommend a balanced approach: 30% Power/Energy, 40% Food/Farming, and 30% Basic Infrastructure/Housing. Don't get tunnel vision on one area. Spread the effort out.

You need to invest in basic tools and efficiency upgrades right away. Better pickaxes and saws make gathering exponentially faster, which solves your material bottleneck immediately.

Replying to the farming suggestion: If you can dedicate a small area to hydroponics early on, it bypasses soil depletion issues and gives you a much more stable food source than traditional farming.

My biggest mistake was building too many housing units before I had reliable power. People need power for comfort and industry, not just shelter. Scale housing with your energy capacity.

Just stick to the basics. Wood, stone, and food. Everything else is a luxury you can afford once your core systems are stable. Good luck out there!
