Hey everyone, I'm trying to make a bit of extra cash in the game and I keep hearing about poker. I've tried the usual spots, but I'm not sure if I'm going to the best locations or if there are specific times when the games are better. Does anyone know if there are certain towns or establishments that are better for high-stakes games? Also, are there any strategies or specific tables I should be looking out for? Any guidance on maximizing my chances of winning would be greatly appreciated.

The Valentine saloon is usually the best bet for high stakes. They tend to have better clientele there.

Don't forget the Blackwater casino, even if it's not technically a 'poker spot' in a saloon. The variety of games and the sheer volume of money being played makes it a must-visit.

Timing is everything. Try going late at night, maybe after midnight. The atmosphere changes, and the regulars are often more desperate, which is good for you.

I found that the Rhodes saloon was surprisingly good for smaller, more consistent wins. It's not flashy, but the games are steady.

What about the time of day? I think the games are generally better right after the midday meal rush, maybe 1 PM to 3 PM. Everyone is settled in, but not yet tired.

I've heard whispers about the Saint Denis establishments. They are rumored to host the biggest pots, but be prepared to lose big too.

Are you talking about the card games or the dice? They are completely different strategies.

Totally agree with the Saint Denis theory. Just remember to study your opponents. Watch their tells. If they fidget a lot, they're probably bluffing.

Short answer: Valentine. Medium answer: Valentine, late night. Long answer: Valentine, late night, and always bring a sidearm for 'protection' if things get heated.

Never rely solely on location. Sometimes, the best game is just the one where the players are having a bad day. Read the room, not the map.

The key isn't the location, it's the discipline. You have to know when to fold, and you must be willing to walk away even if you think you're due for a win.

Hey, I think the Blackwater casino is overrated for pure poker. It's too corporate. Stick to the dusty saloons for that authentic, high-risk feel.

If you're looking for pure high stakes, try the saloon in Strawberry. It's surprisingly intense for how small the town is.

I found that if I wait until the next day, the regulars are often more relaxed and more willing to play a longer session. Consistency beats flashiness.

Be careful about the 'good' spots. Sometimes they are traps set by the biggest fish to bleed you dry. Always keep your wits about you.

I'd say the best spots are the ones that are slightly out of the way. People underestimate them, and they often have more eccentric, desperate characters.

Don't forget to check the local newspaper for any special events. Sometimes the saloons host 'Grand Tournament' nights, which are prime opportunities.

I've had terrible luck trying to use specific times. It feels more like luck than strategy. Just go when you feel confident, and don't let the stakes dictate your play.

Remember to check your inventory for any unique items or gear that might give you a slight edge, even if it's just a good story to intimidate your opponents.
