I'm planning a trip to the area next month and saw photos of the new Prairie Hotel. It looks absolutely stunning, but I'm overwhelmed by the options and reviews are all over the place. Specifically, I'm wondering if the premium suite is worth the extra cost compared to one of the standard rooms. Also, does anyone know if the breakfast buffet is better in the morning or if they have a good late-night dining spot? Any insider tips on parking or the best time to visit would be greatly appreciated.

I stayed last weekend. The standard room is totally fine, honestly. The premium suite is mostly just for the view, which you can sometimes get even from a standard room if you book high enough.

Definitely go for the premium suite if you're celebrating something. The extra space and the little lounge area they included are worth the splurge. It makes a huge difference when you're tired after traveling.

Morning breakfast is a must. Seriously, the buffet is amazing, but it gets chaotic and overcrowded by 10 AM. Get there right when they open to avoid the rush.

For late-night dining, they have a great little bistro on the ground floor, 'The Hearth.' It's more casual than the main restaurant and has excellent cocktails. Perfect after a long day of sightseeing.

Parking is expensive. I recommend using the public garage across the street and walking over. It saves you a fortune and the hotel lot fills up fast.

I found that visiting mid-week is best. Weekends are packed, and the traffic makes getting around a nightmare. Try Tuesday or Wednesday for a much more relaxed experience.

The standard room is perfect for solo travelers or couples who don't mind co-sleeping. It's clean, comfortable, and the value is unbeatable. Don't overspend just for perceived luxury.

I agree with the parking advice. And also, check out the hotel's rooftop bar at sunset. It's a completely different vibe from the main restaurant and the views are incredible. Highly recommend it.

Is the premium suite worth it? I think it depends on your group. If you are a family of four, yes. If it's just two of us, the standard room is fine.

The breakfast buffet is fantastic, but the late-night spot is really The Hearth. It's cozy and the staff are super friendly. Great place to unwind.

Reply to the user about parking: Yeah, I had the same experience. Seriously, pre-booking a spot at the peripheral garage is the way to go. Don't rely on finding street parking.

I'd say the best time to visit is early autumn. The weather is perfect, and the crowds haven't hit their peak yet. It's a sweet spot.

I think the premium suite is a no-brainer. The bathroom alone is bigger and the soaking tub is worth the extra cost just for a relaxing night.

Morning breakfast is definitely better. The pastry selection alone is worth getting up early for. They have amazing croissants.

I heard the hotel sometimes has special deals if you book a multi-night stay. Check their website before booking a single night, you might save a lot.

The standard rooms are very spacious for what they cost. I spent a night and felt completely comfortable. Don't let the marketing hype fool you into spending more than necessary.

Has anyone tried the room service late at night? I was starving after a long day and it was surprisingly good, much better than I expected.

If you are concerned about crowds, try visiting on a Sunday morning. The main attractions are usually less busy then, and the hotel feels calmer.

I recommend booking through a third-party site, but make sure to read the cancellation policy carefully. Sometimes the direct booking rates are better, so compare both.

The premium suite view is breathtaking, but if you just want a good night's sleep and basic amenities, the standard room is perfectly adequate. It's all about budget vs. luxury here.
