Hi everyone, I'm planning a trip to the area and I keep seeing mentions of the Couer d'Alene Casino. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the visit compared to other local options. Specifically, I'm interested in the slot machine selection and if the live dealer table games are reputable. Has anyone been recently who could share some genuine feedback? I'm looking for details on the atmosphere and the general customer service, not just the high points. Any tips on what to try or what to avoid would be greatly appreciated.

I went last month. The slots are decent, but the live dealer area felt a bit sparse. Service was okay, nothing special.

Honestly, it's just okay. Don't expect a Vegas experience. It's fine for a casual night out, but maybe save your money for something else nearby.

I found the atmosphere surprisingly lively, especially on a Friday night. The staff were attentive, and they had a great promotion running on the slot machines that day. I'd recommend checking their website for current deals before you go. The table games were solid too, good variety of blackjack and craps.

Short answer: Go for the lunch buffet, not the gambling. It's way better value.

I agree with the 'okay' sentiment. The slot selection is definitely hit-or-miss. I spent hours playing and felt like I was playing the same five machines over and over. Maybe check out the local county fair instead; more fun for less money.

Customer service was surprisingly good. The floor staff were helpful when I had questions about the different game rules. It wasn't overwhelming, which I appreciated. I spent a few hours at the craps tables and had a great time.

Are you asking about the Couer d'Alene one, or the other one in the area? I went to the one near the highway exit and it was pretty quiet. Not worth the drive unless you're already passing through.

Reply to the user who mentioned the buffet: Seriously, the buffet is great, but if you are going to gamble, make sure you try the high-limit craps tables. They are the best part of the casino, hands down.

The live dealer games are reputable enough if you're looking for a casual bet. The biggest downside is the parking structure; it's a nightmare to navigate when it's busy. Plan to arrive early.

I'd say the atmosphere is very family-friendly, which is nice. There's a dedicated area for non-gamblers, and the kids' activities were running. It felt more like an entertainment center than a high-stakes casino, which is what I wanted.

Definitely check out the slot selection. They have a few newer machines that have really fun graphics and sound effects. I spent a solid afternoon there and didn't feel like I was stuck on the same handful of games.

I disagree with the idea that it's only good for a casual night. If you are looking for a serious gambling experience, you need to go elsewhere. This place is more of a tourist stop.

The general vibe is pretty low-key. It's not trying too hard to be flashy, which I liked. The service was adequate, but I wouldn't say exceptional. Just be prepared for crowds if you go on a weekend.

My advice: Don't go just for the gambling. Use it as a base for dinner and maybe some shopping at the adjacent outlet. The casino itself is secondary to the overall trip experience.

I had a terrible time. The tables were slow, and the staff seemed disinterested. I left after an hour and regretted it immediately. Save your time and energy.
