I'm planning to use the Access Plaza for some evening events next week, but I'm a little worried about the logistics. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out the best parking option since the usual lot seems to close early. Also, are there any designated drop-off points for ride-shares that aren't right next to the main entrance? I heard some people mention a service elevator access point that might be restricted. Any tips on avoiding traffic bottlenecks or finding the quickest route from the main road would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I found success using the underground garage level 3. It's usually less crowded than the main surface lot, even after hours. Just follow the signs for 'Staff Parking B' - it's a bit hidden, but it works great for evening events.

For ride-shares, definitely avoid the main curb right by the entrance. It gets gridlocked instantly. Instead, head three blocks east to Elm Street. There's a designated zone there that services all the major event centers and is much easier for the drivers to navigate without getting stuck in the main traffic flow. It's a quick walk, but worth the hassle.

The service elevator access point is usually restricted to vendors and staff only. Don't try to use it unless you have an event pass. It's a security risk, and you'll probably just end up calling security.

Take the side streets.

If you are driving, try parking in the adjacent municipal lot across the street. It's paid, but it's a solid backup when the main plaza lots are full or closing early. It's a five-minute walk, but saves you the headache of circling the block looking for a spot. Bring cash, just in case.

I agree about Elm Street. I tried using the main curb last month and it was chaos. The walk is manageable, and the designated zone is much more efficient for the drivers. Thanks for the warning!

Check the public transit schedule first.

To avoid bottlenecks, approach via the North Gate entrance from the main road. Once inside, follow the pedestrian walkways; they are designed to handle high foot traffic and will guide you around the worst of the vehicle congestion. It's a slightly longer route initially, but much smoother once you are inside the complex.

The municipal lot suggestion is perfect. I was worried about parking, but that sounds like a reliable alternative. I'll plan on walking from there.

Use the service entrance on 4th Street.

I recommend calling the Plaza management office the day before. They often send out a specific memo detailing temporary parking changes or recommended drop-off zones for large evening events, which is the most reliable source of information you can get.

When you say 'North Gate,' do you mean the one near the river access, or the one closer to the main parking garage entrance? I want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction to avoid getting lost.

Look for the 'B' level parking.

If the event is on a Friday or Saturday, expect significantly heavier traffic than on a weekday. Consider arriving at least 45 minutes earlier than you think you need to, just to give yourself buffer time for parking and navigating the initial rush. It's always better to be early and relaxed.

I think the municipal lot is fine, but I'm not sure if it's always open for parking, or if it's only used for overflow.

The underground garage is really the best bet for security and convenience, even if it's a little harder to find.

Stick to the pedestrian paths. They are well-lit and designed for flow, which is much better than trying to maneuver a car through the service roads after hours.
