I'm planning a trip to Brighton soon and I've heard great things about the bingo nights at the casino. I'm a total beginner, so I'm wondering if there are specific times of day or week that are better for newcomers. Are the weekday sessions more relaxed, or are the weekend nights when the biggest crowds and best atmosphere are? Also, does anyone have tips on what kind of bingo game I should start with? I want to make sure I don't waste my money on a game that's too complicated or too hard to learn.

I found the weekend nights are great for atmosphere, but they are also incredibly crowded. If you are a beginner, I highly recommend checking out their 'Fun Bingo' session on a weekday afternoon. It's designed to be low-stakes and very easy to follow. The staff are really patient with newcomers, and the pace is much more relaxed than the big Saturday night draws. Also, start with the simple 5-for-a-row game; don't worry about the complex patterns right away. Just focus on having a good time and learning the rhythm of the calls. It's a fun way to ease into the game.

I went last month and the Saturday night was overwhelming. Too much noise and too many people shouting. I think the weekday sessions, maybe around 3 PM, are perfect for getting comfortable with the rules. Ask about their 'Beginner Bingo' package; it usually includes a tutorial and a lower entry fee. It makes a huge difference for first-timers.

The Monday afternoon sessions are surprisingly good. They draw a slightly more mature crowd, which means the atmosphere is respectful, and the staff are very knowledgeable. I started with the standard 'Noughts and Crosses' game, and it was simple enough that I didn't feel lost. Don't be intimidated by the fancier games; stick to the basics until you feel confident. You'll thank me later.

Hey, @CasinoGuru78, I think you might be wrong about the Saturday night. While it is loud, the energy is infectious, and that's part of the fun! If you want the 'best' atmosphere, you have to go when everyone is out celebrating. Just go early, grab a drink, and watch the experienced players for a while. You can learn a lot just by observing the rhythm of the calls and the crowd's reactions. Don't let the perceived difficulty stop you from having a blast.

I found the Sunday afternoon sessions to be the sweet spot. It's enough activity to feel lively, but not so packed that it's stressful. I started with the simple number calling game, and it was perfect for getting my feet wet. The staff were great, and they even gave me a little cheat sheet of the basic rules. Seriously, go on a Sunday.

For absolute beginners, the simplest game is always the best place to start. It allows you to focus purely on the calls and the fun, without getting bogged down in complex patterns or scoring. I suggest asking the attendant which game has the fewest winning combinations. That will keep your initial cost low and your learning curve gentle. Remember, the goal is entertainment first, winning second.

I think the weekday sessions are much more relaxed. You can actually hear yourself think! I went last Tuesday, and the staff took extra time explaining everything. It made a huge difference. Also, try to arrive before the main session starts; that way, you can get settled, buy a drink, and observe the setup without the rush of the crowd.
