I'm planning a trip to Atlantic City next month and I've been looking into different casino options. I keep seeing mentions of Bally, but I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like these days. Just went last weekend. The vibe is okay, but definitely not buzzing like it used to be. Slots were busy, but the table games were pretty slow. Service was decent, nothing special.

Totally agree about the crowds. I went Saturday night and it was chaos. I left by 7 PM to escape the worst of it. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

I disagree that it's dated. They do a decent job keeping the main gaming areas bright and functional. It's a classic AC experience, which is what some people want.

Overall, it's fine. Just remember to check out the local attractions outside the casino floor too. AC has more to offer than just the gambling.
