I just downloaded the latest version of Playojo mobile and I keep getting an error message when I try to log in using my linked Google account. It says 'Authentication Failed' but I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling the app twice already. I remember the login process working fine last week, so I'm wondering if this is a known bug or if I need to do something specific on my end. Has anyone else encountered this since the recent server maintenance? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Me too. It started right after the maintenance window yesterday. Just try using the username/password option instead of Google.

Did you check if Google has forced a re-authentication on your side? Sometimes linking accounts needs to be manually refreshed within the Google security settings.

I had the exact same issue. I finally fixed it by logging out of Playojo on the Google side (in the Google account management portal) and then logging back in. It forced a clean handshake.

Short. Try different browser on desktop.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm on Android 13 and the error is persistent. I even tried a different Google account just to test, and it failed there too. This feels like a server-side API change that hasn't been fully deployed yet.

Wait, @User123, did you try logging in via the web version first, just to confirm your credentials work outside the mobile app environment? Sometimes the mobile token gets corrupted.

The support team confirmed this is a known bug. They released a patch build 1.2.1 this morning. You need to manually download it from the Playojo website, not the standard app store update.

This is super frustrating. I spent an hour on customer support chat, and they just told me to wait 24 hours. Hopefully, that works.

I think it might be related to cookies. Before reinstalling, try clearing the entire Playojo data cache through your phone's system settings, not just the app cache.

I agree with the support team. Patience is key here. They are rolling out fixes incrementally, so it's probably not on our end.

Are you using the official Playojo app store download, or a third-party source? Sometimes bad APKs cause authentication loops.

I'm using the official store and I'm on the latest version. I suspect the issue is with my Google account's two-factor authentication setup. Maybe temporarily disabling 2FA and re-enabling it will fix the token.

The web login works fine for me. It's definitely a mobile app bug. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling again, but this time ensuring your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network throughout the entire process.

Check your date and time settings. Sometimes authentication failures are due to a mismatch in device time vs. server time. It sounds basic, but it genuinely fixed it for me.

To follow up on the 2FA idea: I found that if I generated a new Google password specifically for Playojo and used that, the login succeeded immediately. It was a credential mismatch, not a bug.

It's a known bug. Use the alternative login method (email/password) until the patch drops.

I'm going to try the suggestion about checking the Google account portal. Thanks for the advice, everyone! Fingers crossed this works.

Just wait. It'll be fixed. Playojo usually addresses these things within 48 hours after a major maintenance.
