I just got back from a long weekend at the resort and wanted to share my full experience. Overall, the location and the grounds are absolutely stunning, making it a beautiful place to relax. The rooms themselves were comfortable, though I felt the breakfast buffet was a bit overpriced for what was offered. The casino floor was lively, but I found the staff service to be inconsistent, especially during peak hours. If you are planning a trip, make sure to book an activity outside the resort grounds; that's where we found the best local experiences. I'd recommend it for a special occasion, but maybe budget for some non-resort activities.

The grounds really are breathtaking. Pictures do not do the natural beauty justice. Worth the trip just for the views.

I found the service to be highly variable, which is a major drawback. We had a fantastic evening, but the next day, the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested. It felt like we were just another room number to them. I think the resort needs better management training, especially in the dining areas and the casino.

Totally agree about the local activities. We spent a day trip exploring the nearby villages and it was exponentially better than anything offered on the resort property. Plan ahead!

The breakfast was definitely a rip-off. Way too much money for mediocre continental fare.

I disagree about the breakfast being overpriced. While it's not gourmet, the sheer variety and the quality of the fresh juices and breads made it feel like a complete meal. Maybe try going early before the rush, that improved my experience significantly.

Overall, it's a solid choice for a milestone celebration, but manage your expectations. The resort is massive, and while the amenities are impressive, the service level dips when things get busy. I spent most of my time exploring the natural areas outside the main gates, and that was where the real magic happened. If you are looking for a quiet, authentic experience, look beyond the resort bubble. It's a beautiful backdrop, but the resort itself is just a large hotel.

Echoing this. The inconsistency in service was noticeable. We asked for help finding a specific vendor and it took three different people and twenty minutes just to get pointed in the right direction. They need to coordinate better.

I understand the concerns about service, but I think the staff are doing their best given the sheer volume of people they handle. The resort is huge, and it's designed for large groups and high turnover. For a special occasion, the sheer luxury and the stunning views make it worth the occasional hiccup in service. It's an experience, and sometimes experiences have minor flaws.

Any recommendations for specific local tours? We are planning to spend a full day exploring the surrounding area and want to make sure we don't miss any must-see spots.
