I'm trying to get started with ovo online for my new project, but the registration portal seems really confusing. I've tried using both my email and my phone number, and I keep getting an error message about invalid credentials. Has anyone successfully navigated this process recently? I'm worried I'm missing a crucial step or maybe the site is having temporary issues. Any tips on what I should check or if there's an alternative login method would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check if ovo requires a specific format for the phone number? Sometimes international formatting trips people up.

I had the exact same issue last month. I finally figured out it was a CAPTCHA problem, not the credentials. You have to wait 10 minutes and try again.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies first. Sometimes old data conflicts with the new portal interface. It's a simple fix that often works.

Maybe the system is just overloaded right now. Try registering early in the morning or late at night when traffic is lower.

I found that using Chrome instead of Safari made no difference. It really seems like an issue on their end. Have you tried a different browser entirely?

Check the official ovo support page for any known outages. They usually post maintenance alerts there before the portal goes down.

Wait, are you sure you are using the current ovo domain? They recently updated their URL, and the old link might be throwing generic errors.

I think the error message might be misleading. If you are using an email, make sure the email address is already associated with an existing account, even if you don't remember the password.

Seriously, I spent hours on this. My advice is to call their customer service line directly. It's much faster than fighting the online portal. Just be ready with your ID details.

Does it ask for a user ID or just the email? Sometimes they require a specific account number that isn't obvious.

I think you should check if there's a specific troubleshooting guide on their help section. It might list common credential errors and how to resolve them step-by-step.

I used my phone number, but I had to include the country code manually, even though the field looked like it should auto-detect it. That was the key.

I had to wait 24 hours. The system seemed locked out for some reason. Sometimes you just need to give it a full day cycle to reset the credentials.

My experience was that the error message is generic and doesn't help. I eventually got help by submitting a ticket through their official support form, which bypassed the login portal entirely.

I agree with the user above. Calling them is best. If you can't call, try the chat function on their website; sometimes that is more responsive than the form submissions.

Check your spam folder too! Sometimes the confirmation link or the password reset code ends up there and you miss it.

If you are using a VPN, turn it off. Sometimes the IP address they see is flagged as suspicious, which triggers the invalid credentials error.

I tried linking my email to my phone number *before* starting the registration process, which seems to have smoothed out the whole flow for me. It was a pre-step I hadn't considered.

Don't worry, it happens to everyone. Just take a deep breath and try the steps again. You'll get through it!

The site is definitely having issues. I saw several people complaining about the same thing yesterday. Just wait until tomorrow morning; it should clear up.
