I've been trying to get vpower games to run smoothly on my new build, but I keep hitting serious frame rate drops, especially during intense combat sequences. I've already updated my drivers and checked my cooling, but it feels like something deeper is going wrong with the optimization. Has anyone found a specific setting in the game or in the Windows registry that helps boost the FPS? I'm running a GTX 3070 and a Ryzen 7, so I'm pretty sure the hardware isn't the bottleneck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try lowering the draw distance first. It usually helps combat spikes.

Have you checked your power plan settings in Windows? Sometimes the CPU throttles down unexpectedly, causing those massive drops. Make sure it is set to 'High Performance' or 'Ultimate Performance' mode, and that your PSU is delivering stable power under load. This is a very common oversight.

I had similar issues in a title years ago. I ended up disabling Game Mode and setting the refresh rate limit manually in the NVIDIA control panel, rather than relying solely on V-Sync. Also, ensure your background services aren't hogging resources. Sometimes a simple task scheduler cleanup can make a huge difference. It's not always the hardware, sometimes it's the OS overhead.

Check your RAM speed profile.

Regarding the registry, I wouldn't mess with anything without a backup. However, sometimes optimizing the DirectX runtime libraries can help. Search for 'DirectX optimization registry' but proceed with extreme caution. A clean reinstall of the latest Visual C++ Redistributables is usually safer and more effective.

Before touching the registry, use monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor. Run the game and watch the utilization percentages for the CPU and GPU simultaneously. If one component hits 100% utilization and the other is low, you've found your bottleneck. If both are high, then the game itself is poorly optimized, and no amount of tweaking will fix it.

I agree. Lowering settings is the only way.

Make sure you are using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely wipe the old drivers before installing the latest ones. Sometimes the clean install process fails, leaving residual files that cause conflicts, even if the driver version number is correct. This step is crucial for stability.

Exactly. Monitor utilization is key. If the GPU is spiking and the CPU is low, then the GPU is struggling to process the data fast enough, even if it's not at 100% for the entire time. Check the temperature readings too, even if you think cooling is fine.

Has anyone checked if there are any known community patches or specific configuration files that need manual editing? Sometimes these games are released with known optimization bugs that only third-party modders have found a workaround for. Searching Reddit or dedicated fan sites for 'vpower performance patch' might yield results.

Make sure XMP is enabled in the BIOS. Running RAM at default JEDEC speeds will severely limit your Ryzen 7's potential and could be the culprit for unexpected drops.

I found a forum thread suggesting a specific config file tweak. I think checking those community sources is definitely the best bet right now.
