I'm trying to get some help with an account issue, and I've been going through the official 888 chat live portal for the last hour. The connection keeps dropping, and when it does connect, the agents seem unable to see my previous messages or account details. Has anyone found a reliable workaround for this? I'm worried I'll lose my place or have to restart the entire process. Any tips on the best time to chat or alternative contact methods would be greatly appreciated.

Try using a different browser. Chrome seems to cause issues for me.

I found that if you wait until late evening (like 9 PM EST), the queue is much shorter and the agents seem more attentive. It's worth a shot.

Did you try connecting via the mobile app instead of the desktop portal? Sometimes the mobile connection is more stable.

Seriously, try calling them. It's a pain, but it's faster than waiting in that chat queue for hours. Just make sure you have your account details ready.

I think the issue might be on their end. They need to upgrade their chat infrastructure. It's unacceptable that basic functionality like retaining chat history is broken.

I used the email support method for my account issue. It took three days, but at least I got a full, documented response without any connection drops. It was much less stressful.

If you're worried about losing your place, take screenshots of everything you are discussing before you initiate the chat. It helps document your side if the connection fails.

The agent issue is real. I spoke to two people, and neither one seemed to have access to the full history, forcing me to repeat my entire problem description multiple times. It's poor training.

I had terrible luck yesterday. I spent 45 minutes only to be disconnected and forced to start over. I'm sticking to email support from now on, even if it's slower. At least it's reliable.
