I'm planning a trip to the Plaza soon and I've heard mixed reviews about the loyalty program. I've stayed at major chains before, but I'm not sure if the points accumulate quickly enough to justify the stay. Specifically, I'm wondering if it's better to book a room and use the casino amenities, or if I should focus on dining and maybe a day pass to maximize my points without needing a full overnight stay. Any advice from people who have used the rewards system recently would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure I get the most value out of my visit.

Focusing on dining and day passes is smart. You rack up points quickly without the full room cost, which is perfect for maximizing value.

I found that the best strategy was combining a short stay with a lot of non-room spending. The casino amenities are huge point earners. I spent almost a full day just on dining and entertainment.

Just book the room. It's simpler. Don't overthink the points; just enjoy the experience. The value is in the stay itself.

Has anyone found that the point redemption value changes based on the season? I heard it's better to use points during the off-peak months.

I disagree. If you are aiming for maximum points, the room stay is non-negotiable. The points multiplier from the room rate alone outweighs the day pass earnings.

Short and sweet. Just go for the high-end brunch and hit the spa. It's surprisingly efficient for points.

Totally agree with the OP. The casino floor is a goldmine for points if you're willing to play a little. It's the fastest way to accumulate rewards.

I recommend checking the current point structure before you go. Sometimes they run promotions that boost points for specific activities, like booking a package deal.

Are the points transferable to other properties in the chain? That would make the program much more valuable for a multi-trip strategy.

I think you need a mix. Stay one night, spend heavily on dining the next day. This gives you the best balance of comfort and point accumulation. Don't neglect the room points!

The best value I got was using a points stay for the room, and then spending cash on everything else. It makes the whole trip feel luxurious without the point pressure.

Day passes are great, but make sure you factor in the cost of the day pass itself when calculating your net gain. Sometimes it's not worth the effort.

I found that the Plaza has special 'rewards' packages that bundle dining credits with a stay. These are often the absolute best deal and should be prioritized.

I'd stick to the room and maybe one nice meal. Trying to do too much just makes it stressful. Enjoying the ambiance is part of the value, too.

Definitely check out their seasonal events. They often run bonus point days that are much better than just relying on standard spending.

Just go for the room. It's the anchor. The points from the room are usually the most reliable and highest value component of the whole system.
