My partner and I are planning a trip to Aruba next year and the Hyatt Regency is high on our list. We've seen some mixed reviews online, and I'm hoping some seasoned travelers can weigh in. Specifically, we are wondering about the family amenities and the actual quality of the beach access. Is the resort crowded, especially during peak season? Also, how good is the service compared to other resorts on Palm Beach? Any tips on dining reservations or activities nearby would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

The beach is beautiful, but definitely book early for dining reservations. It gets busy.

We stayed last fall. The family amenities are excellent, especially the kids' pool area. My only critique is that the resort feels a little spread out, so walking from your room to the main pool can take a few minutes. However, the service staff were incredibly attentive, which really made up for the distance. If you are traveling with small children, make sure to check out the specific hours for the supervised activities. Also, consider booking a cabana for the day if you want a more private beach experience. Overall, it's a solid choice for a family vacation, and the staff genuinely seem to care about guest comfort. Don't worry too much about the mixed reviews; they often focus on minor inconveniences.

Crowding is manageable if you avoid the main pool deck between 11 am and 2 pm.

Definitely check out the local restaurants off Palm Beach for better value dining options. Don't stick only to the resort!

I found the service to be much more personalized than at the Riu on Palm Beach. The concierge team was amazing and helped us book several excursions. They really went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. For families, the dedicated activity schedule is fantastic. We loved the non-motorized water sports options right near the beach. It felt very safe and relaxing. If you are concerned about the beach quality, I can confirm it's generally clean, but bring your own reusable water bottles to stay hydrated.

The service is great, but the pool gets super crowded during peak season. Plan for early mornings.

Are the kids' activities geared towards different age groups?

Yes, they are! They have separate programs for toddlers and older kids. That was a huge plus for us. It meant my partner and I could actually relax while the kids were entertained. It made the whole trip stress-free. I highly recommend checking the resort's activity calendar before you arrive, as they sometimes change the schedule.

The food options are vast. Don't skip the local specialty spots nearby.

I disagree about the crowds. We were there during a slightly off-peak time and the beach was perfect. It's a beautiful stretch of sand. Just remember to bring sunscreen and a good book.

For dining, try the Italian place. It's fantastic.

I think the service is comparable to the Hilton, maybe slightly better. The staff seem more invested in the guest experience overall. We spent a lovely afternoon just walking along the beach and watching the sunset. It was perfect.

What about parking if we drive ourselves?

It's okay, but definitely use the resort shuttle or a taxi. Parking can be tricky and expensive if you are staying off-site. Stick to the resort amenities for ease of movement.

I found the beach access fantastic. It's protected and the water is calm, which is perfect for little ones. We spent hours just wading in the shallows. The resort really maintains the area well.

It's a short drive, maybe 15 minutes. You'll need a car for that, but the resort itself is very self-contained, which is nice if you plan to spend all day relaxing.

The service is generally excellent. Just be prepared to book everything well ahead of time, especially excursions and high-demand restaurants. It's a popular spot for a reason!
