Hi everyone, I've been wanting to get a 777 tattoo for a while now because of the luck association, but I'm totally overwhelmed by where to put it. I'm debating between my forearm, my wrist, or maybe even my upper back. Does anyone have experience with these placements and know which one actually looks good? I'm worried about it looking too small or too prominent, and I want it to complement my general physique. Also, does the size of the numbers change the overall impact? Any advice from experienced tattoo owners would be greatly appreciated!

Forearm is classic. It's visible but not too distracting like the wrist.

I went with my upper back. It's a big piece, so the size really matters. It looks subtle from the front, but visible when I wear low-cut shirts. I think the upper back gives it the most impact without being too obvious.

Wrist is too exposed. It looks like a temporary tattoo unless you are constantly showing it off. I'd avoid it.

Definitely go for the forearm. It flows really well with the muscle structure. If you make it slightly vertical, it looks super clean and intentional. Don't worry too much about size, just make sure the lines are crisp.

Totally agree with the forearm suggestion. It gives it enough real estate to breathe, which is key. A smaller size on the forearm can look lost, so aim for something substantial.

Upper back is perfect if you want something that feels permanent and hidden until you want it to be seen. It's a great canvas.

Does the size change the impact? Yes. If it's too tiny, it looks like a mistake. If it's massive, it looks like a commitment. Medium-large is usually the sweet spot for numbers like 777.

I think the wrist is actually really cool if you keep it minimalist. Like a small, fine line script. But if you want it to be a statement piece, save it for the forearm.

I had it on my forearm, and I regret it. It got scratched up too easily. Maybe try the upper arm instead? It's less exposed and still visible.

I'm leaning towards the upper back too. It feels more personal and less 'fashion statement' and more 'me'.

Reply to the wrist comment: I disagree. If you get a good artist, the wrist can look incredibly elegant. It's a focal point, and that can be good. Just make sure the font matches your style.

Forearm is the winner. It's visible enough to feel like a statement, but it's not right where everyone stares at you all the time. Good luck with the decision!

Honestly, I think you should do a consultation with an artist. They are the best judges of how a number will look on your specific anatomy. Don't just rely on general advice.

If you want it to complement your physique, look at where your natural lines are. The forearm follows the bone structure really well. It's a good place to start.

Upper back is great for symmetry. If you plan on getting other pieces later, having a large canvas there is smart planning.

Don't stress too much over the perfect spot. The number 777 is powerful regardless of where it is. Just pick the spot that makes you feel the most confident!
