I recently stayed at an OYO property near the Strip in Las Vegas and wanted to share my experience with anyone planning a trip. Overall, the location was fantastic, making it easy to walk to the main attractions, which was a huge plus. However, the room itself was quite basic, and I found the air conditioning unit to be very noisy throughout the night. The staff were polite enough, but housekeeping seemed a bit inconsistent with the cleanliness. If you are looking for a budget option and location is your top priority, it might work, but don't expect luxury amenities. I'd recommend checking recent reviews for specific maintenance issues before booking.

Location is everything in Vegas, I agree. The walkability factor alone makes it worth the savings.

The A/C noise was brutal. I stayed at one last year and it woke me up every single night. Definitely something to watch out for.

How bad was the inconsistency with housekeeping? Did they miss things like visible dust or just general tidiness?

I found the staff to be fine, but the breakfast area was a total mess. It felt like they just threw everything together. Overall, it was passable for a quick stopover, but not a place to relax.

Totally agree about the budget aspect. You get what you pay for, I guess. Just make sure you pack earplugs, seriously.

I heard the pool area was closed for maintenance when I was there. It's really important to check the current status of amenities before assuming they are available.

You mentioned the staff were polite. Were they helpful with directions or making reservations, or was it just basic courtesy?

I was skeptical too. My last experience was terrible; the bathroom fixtures were ancient and leaking. I think the quality control really varies wildly between OYO properties.

If you're prioritizing location over everything, it's a gamble. I'd rather spend a little more money for a guaranteed level of comfort, even if it's just better bedding.

The noise issue is real. I think it's often the building's age combined with the cheap AC units. Maybe bringing a fan helps mask the sound?

Definitely checking recent reviews for maintenance issues. Thanks for the warning! I was about to book this weekend.
