I finally made it to Crown Sydney last weekend and had a great time overall, but I was hoping to get some advice from people who have been before. I'm planning a return trip next month and want to make the most of my time without feeling overwhelmed by all the options. Specifically, I'm wondering about the best areas to spend time if I'm not planning on gambling, like the restaurants or the views. Also, does anyone know if it's better to book a package or just arrive and explore? Any insider tips would be hugely appreciated!

The views from the upper levels are incredible. Don't skip the rooftop bar, even if you aren't gambling. It's a must-see spot for sunset photos.

Try the Italian restaurant. Amazing pasta. Medium price point.

I found the whole experience overwhelming too. My tip is to focus on one wing. Maybe just the dining area and a walk around the promenade. Don't try to see everything in one day or you'll burn out.

Agreed. The promenade walk is perfect for a relaxed afternoon. Great photo opportunities.

Regarding booking, I recommend arriving without a package. It gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. You can wander, decide where you want to eat, and only book specific experiences when you feel like it. It feels much more authentic that way.

Did you check out the art exhibits? Sometimes they have really unique local artists showing their work. It's a nice cultural break from the high-energy casino vibe.

The high-end dining options are amazing, but they are pricey. Budgeting for one big meal is probably enough for a first visit.

I disagree about just focusing on one wing. You need to wander! The best discoveries are always in the random spots you stumble into. Take a little risk and explore the connecting corridors; that's where the hidden gems are.

The lounge area with the river view is fantastic for an early evening drink. It's quieter than the main bar.

Seriously, check out the local markets nearby. Sometimes the best food experience isn't even inside Crown. Walk towards Circular Quay first, and then come back to Crown for the views. It saves you money and gives you a better sense of the city.

I found the transport confusing. Using the ferry to get there first is actually a much better way to start the day. It sets the right mood.

For non-gambling, the best activity is just taking a long walk. It's massive. Wear comfortable shoes.

I think the view from the top floor is worth the splurge alone. Book a sunset cocktail package. It's a guaranteed good time.

If you are a foodie, prioritize the restaurant section. Skip the shopping. The culinary options are what make the trip worthwhile for me.

How long did your trip last? Knowing that might help determine if you need a full day or just an afternoon.

I spent three days and felt like I saw nothing. Stick to the main walkways and the dining precincts. It's less stressful.

My advice: plan for a late afternoon arrival. You get to enjoy the daylight views, the dinner buzz, and the evening lights all in one go. It's the perfect pace.
