I just got back from a long weekend at Harrah's, and I wanted to share my full experience. Overall, the resort is stunning, and the new common areas really look fantastic. However, I found the room service to be significantly slower than it used to be, which was frustrating when we were trying to relax. Also, the parking structure seems much more confusing now that they've added new signage. Has anyone else noticed a dip in the quality of the staff service since the major overhaul? I'd love to hear if anyone else had a similar experience with the amenities or the service staff.

I totally agree about the service dip. It feels like they hired a lot of temporary staff for the renovation and never fully trained them. It's disappointing when the atmosphere is great but the human element fails.

The common areas are gorgeous, no doubt. Huge improvement over the old lobby.

I disagree that the staff quality has dropped. I was at Harrah's last month and the valet service was impeccable. Maybe you visited during a particularly busy period, or perhaps it was just a bad shift for you?

Seriously, the parking structure is a nightmare. I spent 20 minutes circling the perimeter trying to find the correct entrance for the hotel section. They need better directional signs, period.

Echoing this. Room service was painfully slow. We waited 45 minutes for a simple plate of fries. It really ruined the vibe.

Overall, it was a mixed bag. The aesthetics are undeniable, and the new pool area is fantastic. However, the operational efficiency seems to have taken a hit. I found myself feeling more like a tourist in a fancy building than a guest at a resort. I hope management addresses the staff training gap soon, because the potential is huge, but the current execution is frustrating.

You might be right, though. My server was super helpful and knowledgeable about the new features. I think it's more about which specific department you encounter. Don't let one bad experience overshadow the good parts!

Parking is a hassle.

The new casino floor layout is much more modern, but I found the noise levels in the main lounge area to be overwhelming. It's hard to have a quiet conversation even when you aren't gambling.

I found that if you park on the side street that runs parallel to the main entrance, it's much easier to navigate than trying to follow the new overhead signs in the main garage.

It's typical of large resorts undergoing massive renovations. They focus so much on the 'wow' factor for photos and marketing that they neglect the day-to-day logistics and the consistency of the service staff. It's a common problem, and it makes the whole experience feel a little hollow despite the beautiful finishes. I'd rate it 3/5 stars because of the service hiccups.

Gorgeous, but slow service.
