I just got back from a trip using the Hyatt Worldwide booking system and stayed at the Regency property. Overall, the location was perfect and the staff were incredibly helpful. However, I was expecting a bit more luxury given the rate I paid, especially regarding the room amenities. The pool area was lovely, but the breakfast buffet felt a little underwhelming compared to what I remember from my stay at a different Hyatt property last year. Has anyone stayed here recently and found the food quality improved? I'm curious if the hotel management has made any changes since my visit.

I totally get the feeling about the value. Sometimes the hype around a 'regency' property makes you expect five-star amenities every single day, and if the breakfast doesn't hit that mark, it really drags down the overall experience. Maybe check out the seasonal menus they offer, as those are sometimes more elevated than the standard buffet.

The breakfast was okay, but definitely not amazing. Stick to the coffee and pastries.

I stayed last month, and I have to agree about the food. They definitely improved the quality of the eggs and the selection of breads. It was much better than what I remember from two years ago. Maybe your visit was during a slower period for the kitchen staff.

The staff really saved the day for me. Even if the room amenities felt a bit basic, the service was impeccable. That's what makes the Hyatt experience worthwhile, in my opinion.

The pool area is great, but the Wi-Fi was spotty. Annoying.

My experience was mixed, honestly. The location is unbeatable, and the lobby is gorgeous, but the room itself felt a bit dated compared to the photos online. For the price point, I was hoping for more modern touches, especially in the bathroom. I also found the breakfast selection lacking in variety for a full-day trip.

Totally agree on the amenities. I felt like I was paying for the name, not the actual luxury experience.

It really depends on what time of year you visit. During peak season, they seem to ramp up the service and the food quality improves dramatically. If you're traveling off-season, manage your expectations regarding the amenities.

If you are concerned about the food, try booking a reservation at one of the on-site restaurants for breakfast instead of using the buffet. That usually guarantees a higher quality meal and a more personalized service experience. Also, check if there are any current promotions or package deals available, as those can significantly improve the overall value.

I was there last week, and I agree the buffet was a bit repetitive. They need to source better local vendors for the fresh produce. It needs a serious overhaul.
