My partner and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas next fall, and we are really interested in checking out the SLS experience. We've seen some amazing pictures, but I'm not sure what to expect when it comes to booking or timing. Is it better to book a full stay package or just use it for a single night? Also, for those who have been, do you recommend making reservations far in advance for dinner, or is it usually easier to walk in? Any tips on getting the most out of the amenities and the overall vibe would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

For the best SLS experience, I highly recommend staying for at least three nights. You need time to acclimate to the energy and really explore the amenities beyond just the main club floor. Don't rush it. Also, make sure to check out the daytime pool scene; it's totally different from the night vibe and equally fun. It really rounds out the trip.

Single night is fine, but you'll feel rushed. Book a package if you can.

Regarding dinner, I found that making reservations 2-3 weeks out is smart, especially if you want a specific spot or if you're going on a Friday or Saturday night. If you walk in, you might wait an hour or more, which is a huge waste of time when you want to maximize your Vegas time.

I disagree about reservations. I went last year and just walked into a couple of spots, and they actually had a wait time of maybe 20 minutes tops. Unless you are aiming for a Michelin star experience, I think the walk-in spontaneity is part of the fun. Just be ready to pivot if the line is too long.

A full stay package is definitely worth the splurge. It usually includes credits or perks that make the whole trip feel cohesive and less stressful. Booking everything together simplifies the planning process immensely.

My biggest tip is to utilize the complimentary activities the hotel offers. Don't just focus on the main club. Check out the lounge areas during the day, and take advantage of any included transport or passes. It makes the whole stay feel luxurious without requiring constant spending. Also, wear comfortable shoes; you will be walking miles!

I think going mid-week is actually better for the vibe. On Friday and Saturday, it's just pure chaos. If you go Tuesday or Wednesday, the crowds are manageable, and you can still feel the energy of the place without the overwhelming feeling of a massive weekend rush. You get a better feel for the actual experience.

Yes, definitely pre-book the transport.

Be prepared for crowds. Vegas is always busy, but if you are going to SLS, you need to plan your movements. Know where the exits are, and plan a meeting spot with your partner in case you get separated in the massive crowds. Also, keep your phone charged; you'll be taking hundreds of photos!

I think the package is good, but maybe look for one that includes a specific credit towards dining, not just a general stay. That way, you can allocate that money exactly where you want it. Otherwise, you might end up with unused credits for things you don't care about.

Overall, just relax and enjoy the moment. Don't stress too much about the perfect itinerary. Vegas is meant to be spontaneous. Have fun!
