My partner and I are looking at a weekend trip to Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Minnesota, and we are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. We are really interested in the casino aspect, but we also want to make sure we get some good non-gambling activities too. Has anyone stayed there recently and can give us advice on the best things to do? Specifically, are the dining options worth the splurge, or should we stick to the resort amenities? Also, if we plan to spend a full day, what's the best way to maximize our time without feeling rushed? Any tips on parking or local transportation would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely book the spa package. It's a great way to decompress after a day of gaming. Highly recommend the couples massage!

For maximizing a full day, I suggest starting with a leisurely brunch, spending the afternoon exploring the non-casino shops, and saving the evening for a nice dinner and a few hours at the tables. Don't try to do everything!

The dining options are fantastic, but be prepared for high prices. If you want a splurge, try the Italian place; the ambiance is unmatched.

Parking is straightforward. There are large lots, but they can fill up quickly on weekends. Arrive early to secure a spot.

We spent a day focusing only on the resort amenities and the pool area. It was relaxing and didn't require any gambling. Perfect for a low-stress getaway.

Are you planning on driving in? If so, check out the local bus routes; they connect the resort area to the main town center, which is useful for exploring.

I agree with the dining splurge. The view from the rooftop bar alone is worth the extra cost, even if you only have a drink.

Short answer: Focus on one area. If it's gaming, stay in the casino. If it's relaxation, stick to the spa and pool. Don't mix them all up.

If you're a foodie, skip the casual spots and aim for the fine dining experience. It really elevates the whole trip. My partner loved the wine pairing.

I found the non-gambling activities were really centered around the pool and the shops. It's a nice blend. Don't feel pressured to spend all your time at the tables.

Totally agree about the timing. If you go straight into the casino, you'll burn out fast. Start slow, maybe with a walk, then dinner, and save the high energy for the end.

The local transportation is pretty limited, honestly. A car is the best way to move around the immediate area, but you might want to check out a rental car for a day trip outside the resort.

The resort amenities are great, especially the fitness center. It's a good way to burn off some energy before hitting the slots!

For a full day, I suggest booking a package that includes a meal and an activity. It streamlines the process and often saves you money compared to booking everything separately.

The casino itself is massive. Wear comfortable shoes and plan breaks. Seriously, pacing yourselves is key to enjoying the whole experience.

I think the local shops are surprisingly good for souvenirs and unique gifts. It's a nice, low-stakes way to spend an afternoon.

My advice: prioritize the experience over the spending. Enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the company. The gambling is just part of the fun, not the main event.

Don't worry too much about parking; just follow the signs and look for the designated guest parking. It's usually well-managed.

If you want a mix, dedicate the morning to the pool/spa, the afternoon to shopping/lunch, and the evening to the casino and dinner. That structure keeps things balanced.
