My partner and I are looking at a weekend trip to Las Vegas and have decided on The Orleans. We are trying to keep the budget reasonable, but we also want to have a good time. Does anyone have tips on the best deals for dining or entertainment that aren't just the big resort fees? Also, is it better to book parking through the hotel or find street parking nearby? Any advice on maximizing our stay without breaking the bank would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Check out the happy hour specials at the casino bars. They usually have discounted drinks and appetizers, which saves a ton compared to ordering à la carte.

Parking-wise, I found that using the hotel's valet service was actually worth the cost. It was super convenient and saved us the hassle of circling for street parking all day.

For dining, skip the main casino floor restaurants. Look for the local spots just a few blocks away. They offer better food quality and significantly lower prices. Bring comfy shoes because you'll be walking a lot!

I highly recommend looking into the local bus routes. Trying to use ride-shares constantly adds up fast. A day pass for public transit can get you to many key areas without the exorbitant cost of Ubers.

Totally agree about the local spots. I ate at a place called 'The Tacos Corner' near the Strip, and it was amazing. We saved at least $150 over two nights just by eating off-Strip.

Regarding entertainment, check out the free shows. Many resorts, including The Orleans, have nightly entertainment that costs nothing to watch. Focus your spending on one or two major events instead of trying to do everything.

I disagree about only using public transport. While it saves money, it can be confusing to navigate, especially late at night. Sometimes, paying for a short ride-share is worth the peace of mind and convenience.

Always use a credit card with rewards points. It helps offset the cost of things like spa treatments or premium dining experiences. Don't just rely on cash.

For a budget stay, consider doing a 'staycation' feel. Instead of booking fancy dinners every night, plan one big splurge meal and supplement the rest with picnic-style snacks or happy hour finds. It keeps the experience fun but controlled.

Has anyone found any good deals on local day passes for attractions, like the botanical gardens or a nearby museum? I want to maximize sightseeing without buying individual tickets.
