My partner and I are finally planning a weekend trip to Revel next month, and we've been doing a lot of research on TripAdvisor. We want to make sure we get the most out of it, but the resort is huge and we're overwhelmed by the options. Beyond just hitting the casino, what are some tips for non-gambling activities? Should we book dinner reservations far in advance, or is it usually easy to find a table? Also, are there any specific times of day when the atmosphere is best for a first-time visitor? Any advice on parking or getting around the property would be hugely appreciated.

You absolutely must check out the Boardwalk area. It's great for a casual stroll and has some nice photo spots.

Dinner reservations are a must, especially for weekend nights. Book at least two weeks out if you want a specific spot.

For non-gambling fun, I highly recommend exploring the shops and maybe catching a show at the theater. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming.

Parking is tricky. Try using the official valet service if you want to relax and not worry about finding a spot.

Short and sweet: Get lost in the arcade area. It's fun for all ages.

I found that going mid-afternoon, maybe 2-4 PM, is perfect for first-timers. The crowds are thinner, and you can soak in the vibe without the rush.

Hey, @Traveler22, I actually disagree about the reservations. We walked into a couple of places and found seats easily, even on a busy Saturday. Just try arriving early.

The best way to get around is mostly walking. Wear comfortable shoes! There's a lot of ground to cover.

The local coffee shops away from the main resort strip are amazing. Check out the little independent spots for a change of pace.

If you're looking for something low-key, take a walk along the adjacent beach area. It's a nice break from the neon lights.

Definitely book dinner. We went on a Friday night and waited nearly an hour just to be seated. Plan ahead!

I recommend checking out the local art exhibits. They usually have rotating displays that are really unique and give you a good sense of the area's culture.

Parking is expensive. Seriously, budget for it. And the valet is worth the extra cash just for the peace of mind.

How about taking a sunset stroll? The entire property lights up beautifully, and the atmosphere is magical without needing to spend a dime.

I think the best time is right before closing time. The energy is still high, but the major crowds have started to thin out. It's a great time to capture photos.

Don't forget to check out the local markets nearby. Sometimes the best food and souvenirs are outside the main resort gates.

I agree with the parking advice. Seriously, look into off-site parking options if you want to save some serious money. It's a hassle, but worth it.

Take a day off the itinerary. Just wander. Get intentionally lost. That's often where the best discoveries happen.

We spent a whole afternoon just people-watching near the central fountain. It was relaxing, free, and gave us a perfect sense of the resort's rhythm. It's a must-do for first-timers.
