My partner and I are planning a long weekend trip to the Hilton Ponce Golf Casino Resort next month, and we are feeling a little overwhelmed by all the options. We are serious about playing golf, but we also really want to spend some time enjoying the casino atmosphere and maybe trying a few of the resort's restaurants. For those who have been, do you have any advice on how to structure the trip? Should we book a package deal, or is it better to handle the golf tee times and the casino nights separately? Also, are the shuttle services between the golf course and the main resort area reliable, especially late at night?

Definitely book everything separately. It gives you flexibility to splurge on a fancy dinner one night and save money on the other.

We did a package deal and it was fine, but we ended up spending too much on activities we didn't want. Handling things independently gave us better control over the budget.

The shuttles are reliable during the day, but if you plan on staying out late at the casino, you might want to arrange a taxi or ride share instead. It's safer.

For balancing, I suggest dedicating two full days to golf and one day to pure casino/dining exploration. Don't try to cram it all into one day.

I recommend booking a half-day golf package. It's enough golf to satisfy the craving without consuming your entire day, leaving the evening free for the casino.

Totally agree with the scheduling advice. We spent one day trying to do both and ended up feeling exhausted and rushed. Take it slow!

Regarding the restaurants, check out 'The Copper Kettle.' It's fantastic and a nice break from the casino noise. Book reservations weeks ahead.

The casino itself is huge. If you're not a big gambler, don't feel pressured to stay there all night. Walk around, grab a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere instead.

Are you asking about the shuttle reliability late at night, or just generally? Because we found it okay, but it was definitely slow after 11 PM.

I found the shuttle service perfectly fine for getting back to the resort after a late dinner. It was punctual every time we used it.

If you want to maximize the experience, consider staying in the resort rooms rather than off-site. It makes walking to everything much easier.

We used a package deal that included a resort credit, which helped immensely with dining. It made the whole trip feel more cohesive.

Short answer: Separate bookings. It gives you the best control. Use the time saved on packages for more golf or more gambling!

Don't underestimate the value of a full day off. If you're too tired from golf, the casino won't be fun. Pace yourselves!

I think the best balance is 2 rounds of golf spread over two days, and then dedicating the third day entirely to dining and casino fun. It's a good rhythm.

I'd recommend looking into local transportation options near the resort as well. Sometimes a dedicated car service is faster than the shuttle, especially during peak hours.

How long is the round of golf? Knowing that might help determine how much time you need to allocate to the course.

The course is beautiful, but it takes time to get into the right mindset. Don't rush the morning. Start with a leisurely breakfast and coffee first.
