I spent an afternoon at the Plaza Casino last weekend and wanted to get some feedback from others who have been recently. I noticed they have updated a lot of the slot machines in the main gaming area, and I'm curious if anyone else has had a chance to try them out. The atmosphere was generally good, though the buffet line seemed a bit disorganized during peak hours. Has anyone found a better time to visit if you want to avoid the biggest crowds? Also, are the new lounge areas worth the extra cost, or are they just for show?

The new slots are decent, but I prefer the older ones. They feel more reliable, honestly.

I agree about the buffet. If you go right when they open, it's much calmer. Try arriving around 11 AM.

The lounge areas are nice, but definitely pricey. I think the view alone justifies the cost, even if you don't drink much.

Totally agree about the crowds. I went Saturday afternoon and it was insane. Try weekday mornings, maybe 10 AM.

Did anyone notice the new video poker machines? They seem to have better payouts than the slot racks I was used to.

I found the atmosphere to be really lively, even during the day. The background music was perfect, not too loud, not too quiet. It gave a great energy to the whole place.

The slots are okay. Nothing revolutionary. Just standard modern casino fare. Don't expect miracles.

Reply to previous post: I think the lounge areas are worth it if you're celebrating something. It feels more exclusive than just sitting at a table.

I went last month and the buffet was actually fine. Just stick to the main dining room if you want a quieter experience. Skip the peak hours.

I'd say the atmosphere is a 7/10. It's polished, but it lacks that gritty, old-school casino feel I really enjoy. Maybe they should keep some of the original decor.

Reply to previous post: Weekday mornings are definitely better. I went Tuesday and the main gaming floor was practically empty. Great for a relaxed session.

The new slots are actually quite fun! I hit a big bonus round on one of them. They are definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something new.

I found the buffet disorganized too. They need better staff management during lunch rush. It was a real bottleneck.

For avoiding crowds, try visiting right after the morning matinee shows. The crowd thins out but the energy is still up. It's a good sweet spot.

I think the lounge areas are mainly for show. You can get a similar vibe in a nice hotel bar nearby for half the price. Don't feel pressured to spend big just for the 'experience'.

I'm going back next month. I'll try the early bird approach you suggested. Thanks for the tips, everyone!
