My partner and I just spent a long weekend at the Mirage and we had a mixed experience. The location is unbeatable, and the volcano show was still spectacular. However, the room service felt a bit overpriced compared to what I expected, and the pool area felt crowded and a little dated. I was hoping for a more modern feel overall. Has anyone stayed recently and noticed any major improvements or changes in service or amenities? I'm trying to decide if the current pricing still justifies the stay.

I agree about the room service. It feels like they haven't updated the menu or the pricing structure in years. You're better off ordering takeout and having it delivered to your room.

The location alone makes it worth it. You can't beat being right on the Strip with everything accessible. Just manage your expectations for the 'modern' feel, okay?

I went last month and noticed a huge improvement in the main pool area. They actually cleaned up the landscaping and added some new lounge chairs. It wasn't perfect, but it was definitely better than it was two years ago. Maybe the resort is finally spending some money.

The volcano show is still a must-see. Period. It's a classic Vegas experience that they execute really well. That alone justifies a big chunk of the splurge.

I think the pricing is fine if you're going for a full package deal, like a show and a nice dinner. If you're just staying for the room and pool, you might find better value elsewhere. It depends on your goals for the trip.

Totally agree with the room service critique. It's overpriced and the quality is inconsistent. Maybe try booking a meal at one of the off-site restaurants instead? You'll save money and get better food.

Did anyone notice the new bar setup near the main entrance? It looks much more contemporary and less dated than the old pool bar area. That was the biggest positive change I saw on my visit last week.

Replying to the user who mentioned the pool: I found the pool area okay, but the crowds were insane. I recommend going early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the peak rush and actually enjoy the space.

Honestly, the overall vibe is still very fun. While some amenities are dated, the energy and the sheer spectacle of the place make it a memorable splurge. Don't let the minor flaws ruin the experience.

I think the room service issue is probably just a staffing problem, not a structural one. If you call ahead and ask for a specific menu item or a discount, they might be more accommodating. Give them a chance!
