I spent a weekend at the Lexor Hotel last month and overall, it was a really pleasant stay. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown area, and the staff were incredibly helpful with local recommendations. However, I wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed the breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced for what it offers. While the pastries were good, the coffee station felt understocked, and the hot breakfast items were quite limited. Has anyone found a better alternative nearby, or do you feel the overall experience justifies the premium price point?

I totally agree. The breakfast felt more like an afterthought than a key part of the stay. It definitely felt overpriced.

I stayed last month too, and I think you hit the nail on the head. The location and staff are genuinely five-star, but the breakfast buffet really drags the overall value down. I found 'The Corner Bistro' two blocks away to be much more robust and cheaper. They have amazing pastries and a much better coffee selection. It makes me think the hotel is charging for the name, not the meal.

Honestly, I found it fine. It was certainly adequate. Maybe the cost is justified by the sheer convenience of not having to leave the building.

Yes. Too expensive.

For me, the location alone justifies the premium. I was traveling for business and needed easy access to the main financial district. While the breakfast was mediocre, the room service and the staff's efficiency made the whole package worthwhile. I wouldn't change my mind based on the eggs.

Did you try the local bakery near the park? It was way better and only cost half as much.

The coffee station was definitely sparse. I expected more variety if I was paying that much.

What do you mean by 'premium'? Are we talking about a huge difference in quality, or just a noticeable price hike compared to other hotels in the area?

It was a mixed bag. The staff were wonderful, and the room was beautiful, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 2. But if I had to rate the breakfast, I'd give it a solid 2/5. It was just okay, nothing memorable.

I disagree. The quality of the linens and the view from the dining area made the breakfast feel luxurious, even if the options were limited.

Try 'Daily Grind Cafe' down the street. They specialize in hot breakfast items and are much more affordable.

I only care about the location. It's unbeatable. The breakfast is just a bonus, not the main reason for staying.

I highly recommend checking out the cafe across the street from the main square. They have a much wider selection of hot items, including fresh local bread and specialty coffee blends. It's a short walk, but the savings and quality improvement are significant enough to make up for the hotel's lackluster offering. It's a much more authentic local experience than the hotel buffet.

The local cafe sounds much better than the hotel's buffet. Thanks for the tip!

Overpriced.
