My family and I spent a week at Winstar World Casino and Resort last month, and I wanted to share our thoughts. The location itself is beautiful, and the pool area was fantastic for the kids. However, we found that the casino floor itself was quite overwhelming, and the slot machines were really hard to win on. We spent a lot of time enjoying the dining options, which were surprisingly good value, but the room service felt a bit overpriced for what it was. Overall, it's a massive complex, and while the amenities are top-notch, I'm not sure if the gambling aspect justifies the premium price point for a family trip.

I totally disagree that it's not worth the price. For a full week, you are getting top-tier amenities, excellent dining variety, and the convenience of having everything in one massive spot. If you plan to spend time enjoying the resort atmosphere, not just the gambling, the cost is justifiable. It's an experience, not just a hotel stay.

We went last fall, and honestly, it was overwhelming, but in a good way. It felt like a whole destination. We spent most of our time exploring the non-casino areas, like the shops and the walking paths. If you are traveling with teens who need activities beyond the pool, this place has them. Just manage your expectations regarding the gambling aspect; it's a huge complex, and that size dictates a high price point.

If you are going with young kids, maybe focus your trip on the non-gaming aspects. Book a package that emphasizes the resort stay and dining, and treat the casino as a backdrop rather than the main event. That might help manage the overall cost perception and the gambling pressure.

Look, if you are treating it like a luxury vacation spot, not just a gambling trip, the amenities justify the cost. The sheer amount of entertainment options, from shows to dining to the pool, means you don't have to leave the property for days. That convenience is worth something.
