I spent a whole weekend down at Boonville Casino and wanted to share my thoughts with anyone who has been recently. I was particularly interested in the new video slot section they added last month. The machines are definitely modern and the interface is smooth, but I found the payout structure on the 'Lucky Seven' machine to be a little unpredictable. Overall, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were very helpful when I needed assistance with the table games. If you're planning a trip, make sure to check out the buffet options too; they were surprisingly good.

I was there last week! The atmosphere was fantastic. I spent most of my time at the table games, and the staff really made it enjoyable.

Totally agree about the buffet. I was skeptical, but the shrimp cocktail alone was worth the trip. Great value!

Did anyone else find the 'Lucky Seven' machine frustrating? I felt like the payout was random, almost designed to make you keep playing even when you shouldn't.

Short and sweet: Go for the slots. Ignore the tables.

I disagree about the slots. I played 'Mega Jackpot' and it was surprisingly consistent. Maybe the issue was with the specific machine you were on? I found the interface very intuitive.

The new slot section is definitely a big upgrade. They added some really engaging bonus rounds that kept me hooked for hours. I spent almost $500 and left feeling like I had fun, even if I didn't win big.

Seriously, the staff were amazing. One gentleman at the Blackjack table helped me figure out the rules for a side bet I didn't understand. Excellent service!

Was the parking difficult? I drove in late and struggled to find a spot near the entrance.

I thought the payout structure was fine, but I found the music volume in the slot area to be way too loud. It was hard to even hear myself think sometimes.

Reply to the previous post: I agree about the volume. It was distracting. Maybe they need to adjust the sound levels in the new video slot area. It made the experience feel a little overwhelming.

Has anyone tried the high-roller lounge? I heard it's much quieter and more exclusive than the main floor. Worth checking out if you're looking for a calmer experience.

I'm planning a trip next month. Based on your positive experience with the buffet, I might allocate more time for dining and less for gambling. Good tip!

The machines are modern, yes, but the payout structure really does feel rigged sometimes. I spent a lot of money on 'Lucky Seven' and barely saw any return. Be careful down there.

I recommend going during weekday afternoon hours. It's much less crowded, and the feeling of being rushed is gone. Great for a relaxed gaming session.

I found the staff helpful, but only when I was near the main desk. When I wandered over to the quieter corner tables, I struggled to find anyone to ask questions to. Service inconsistency was noticeable.

I'm glad you mentioned the buffet. I was worried it would be overpriced, but the variety of options was impressive. I ate way too much!

Totally agree with the OP. The overall vibe is great, but the slots need some transparency regarding their payout algorithms. It's frustrating when the fun factor outweighs the actual chance of winning.

If you're coming, check out the live craps pit. It's a completely different energy from the slots, and the dealers are very entertaining.

Thanks for the detailed review! I was hesitant about Boonville, but hearing about the great atmosphere and the buffet makes me want to book a trip right away. Maybe I'll try the slots after all!
