I'm trying to link my main bank account to my Unibet profile to make deposits, but the verification process keeps giving me an error. I've already uploaded my passport and a recent bank statement, and the site keeps asking for a specific 'bank ID' which I'm not sure what they mean. Has anyone successfully linked their account using a specific bank ID? I'm worried I've missed a crucial step, or maybe the bank itself is causing the issue. Any advice on what format this ID needs to be in would be greatly appreciated.

Check your bank's online portal. Sometimes the ID is a specific reference number for linking services.

I had the exact same issue. They usually mean the IBAN or a specific routing number, but it depends on your country and bank. Did you try contacting Unibet support directly and asking them what format they need?

Honestly, I think Unibet might be asking for the BIC code (Bank Identifier Code) or SWIFT code, not a general 'bank ID'. It's a standard international code. Try entering that instead.

My experience was that the error was due to a mismatch in the name on the bank statement versus the name on the profile. Make sure they match perfectly, including middle initials.

Are you sure you are using the correct bank account? Sometimes linking a secondary account can trigger verification issues. I used my primary checking account and it went smoothly.

I think the problem might be with the bank's API connection to Unibet. Try waiting 24 hours and attempting the link again. Sometimes it's a temporary glitch.

I got stuck on this for weeks. The 'bank ID' they needed was actually my account's unique customer ID number, not a routing number. You have to call them and ask for clarification, don't guess!

Totally agree with the IBAN suggestion. That's the most common requirement for European sites. If you're outside Europe, ask them specifically if they need a routing number or SWIFT.

Yes, I did! It was the full account number, but they needed the last 8 digits and the branch code separately. It was confusing, but I figured it out. Good luck!

Don't panic. It's usually a minor formatting issue. Try copying the ID directly from the bank's official website or a physical checkbook.

The support team was useless to me. I ended up finding a forum thread that explained that 'bank ID' meant the full sort code plus the account number. It was a local requirement, not international.

I found that the issue was that my bank requires two-factor authentication for linking, and I wasn't completing that step. You need to go through the bank's security process first.

Wait, if you are getting an error, maybe you should try a different method of deposit, like e-wallets, just to get started while you sort out the bank link. It's much faster.

I recommend calling Unibet's dedicated customer service line. They can tell you exactly what format they are expecting for the 'bank ID' and if there's a known issue with your region.
