I'm trying to cross-reference some historical Belterra entries with the data in the updated portal, but I keep running into discrepancies. Specifically, the dates seem off for the initial phase records, and I'm not sure if I'm looking at the correct data set. Has anyone else noticed this when pulling older records? I've checked the user guide, but it doesn't clarify how to handle the transition between the old manual logging and the new digital format. Any advice on which department I should contact or if there's a specific filter I should be using would be greatly appreciated.

Check the 'Historical Data Migration' tab. It should have a specific filter for the initial phase records.

I had the same issue with the dates. I found that the initial manual logs were entered under a separate legacy ID system, not the main Belterra entry field. You might need to run a report using the old departmental codes.

Short answer: Contact IT support. They know the migration kinks better than the user guide does.

Are you sure you are looking at the correct data set? When I pulled older records, I initially cross-referenced the 'Project Alpha' data with the Belterra entries, which caused massive date discrepancies. Make sure you are filtering strictly by the Belterra project code.

I think the issue is with the user permissions. Sometimes the old data requires elevated access to view the full timeline. Try logging out and back in with an admin profile.

Did you try exporting the old records as a CSV and then importing them into the portal's staging area? That sometimes forces the system to recognize the correct data structure and dates.

I agree with the user above. The legacy ID system is the key. I spent hours figuring out that the dates were stored in a separate metadata field, not the primary date field. It was a nightmare.

The departmental records are usually handled by the Records Management team. They should have a dedicated workflow for handling the transition from paper logs to digital format. Don't waste time on general IT support.

I found that if you use the 'Batch Verification' tool (it's under Advanced Filters), it automatically flags date discrepancies and tells you which source data set is preferred for the final entry.

This is frustrating. I followed the guide exactly, and the dates are still off. Maybe the guide is outdated? Has anyone else noticed this specific date problem with the initial phase records?

To respond to the previous post: Yes, the guide is definitely outdated. We got a patch last month that changed the date input method, and the guide hasn't been updated since the initial rollout.

Look for a specific filter labeled 'Pre-Migration Source'. That should isolate the data you need to cross-reference without the system trying to auto-correct the dates.

The issue might be a simple data type mismatch. Ensure that the fields you are comparing are all formatted as 'Date Only' and not 'Date and Time'. This often resolves date discrepancies instantly.

I recommend calling the Belterra department liaison directly. They are the subject matter experts on the historical logging process and can guide you through the specific filters needed.

Have you checked the system logs? Sometimes the system will generate an error report detailing why it cannot reconcile the dates, which is much more helpful than the user guide.
