I just went through the process of resetting my password because I suspected my old credentials might have been compromised. Now that I'm back in, I keep getting little pop-up messages asking me to 'reassure login' or something similar, and I'm not sure what that means. Is this a standard security measure, or does it mean there's still an issue with my account? I've checked my email for any alerts, but I'm still feeling uneasy about the security of my data. Can someone explain what this prompt means and what steps I should take to fully secure my profile?

Those pop-ups are usually part of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup. It's a good sign, not a bad one! It's just confirming that it's really you.

You should definitely enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) immediately. Even if you reset your password, 2FA adds a crucial second layer of defense. Check the security settings page for instructions. It's the single best thing you can do right now.

Short answer: It's probably normal. But long answer: Contact support directly. Don't rely on forum advice for account security. They can tell you exactly what that 'reassure login' prompt means for your specific account type.

I had this exact issue. It means the system detected a change in your IP address or device, and it's forcing a re-verification to prevent unauthorized access. Just follow the prompts carefully.

Agreed with the MFA suggestion. And also, check your browser for any outdated security extensions. Sometimes those interfere with the new login protocols, causing weird pop-ups.

Has anyone else experienced this after using a VPN? I think the IP change is what triggers the extra security checks. It's annoying but seems to be standard procedure.

I think the issue might be with the browser cache. Try clearing your cookies and cache completely, then attempt the login again. Sometimes old data conflicts with new security protocols.

Reply to the user above: Yes, I think the VPN theory is solid. My login failed multiple times until I disabled it, and then the pop-ups cleared up. It really seems tied to location changes.

Don't panic. If you've changed your password and are still logged in, your account is likely okay. Just make sure you use a unique, strong password that you haven't used anywhere else.

I recommend reviewing the account activity log if the platform provides one. Look for any logins from unknown locations or devices in the past 24 hours. This gives you concrete proof of security status.
