I'm starting to gather requirements for a major system overhaul, and I keep hearing positive things about Leo Egas's expertise in hybrid cloud environments. However, I'm struggling to find recent reviews or case studies detailing his specific methodology. Could anyone who has collaborated with him, or who knows his work, share some insight? I'm particularly interested in how he handles legacy system integration without massive downtime. Any feedback on his communication style or project management approach would be greatly appreciated before we commit to a consultation.

We used him last year. Excellent on the integration front. Highly recommend.

I worked with him on a similar project involving COBOL mainframes. His phased approach to migration was key. He really excels at minimizing downtime, which was our biggest fear. Be prepared for deep technical dives, though; he doesn't sugarcoat the complexity.

His communication style is very direct. It's efficient, but if you prefer a softer, more hand-holding approach, you might find him intense. However, when the project hits a technical snag, his ability to pivot and solve it is unmatched. We found his project management structured but sometimes rigid. Overall, a solid 8/10.

Did you ask about his cost structure? That was our main concern.

Regarding cost, yes, I spoke to him. He is premium pricing, but the risk mitigation he provides makes it worthwhile. He doesn't just migrate; he redesigns the architecture for the future. It's an investment, not just an expense.

I found him to be a bit too focused on the theoretical 'perfect' state. While his architectural designs were flawless on paper, the practical implementation timeline was overly optimistic, leading to some scope creep and delays. Be sure to set realistic expectations regarding the legacy system's inherent limitations.

Totally agree with the 'deep technical dive' warning. You need to be ready to argue the technical merits of your current setup. He won't accept 'it's always been done this way' as an answer.

His methodology is robust. He emphasizes containerization and microservices as the primary path for decoupling legacy components. It requires significant upfront effort, but the long-term stability gain is undeniable. We saw a 40% reduction in maintenance overhead post-migration.

I think he's great, but his team needs to be managed closely. They sometimes jump ahead of the requirements gathering phase, which caused some confusion initially. Good vision, but needs better process adherence.

Did anyone get specific details on the data synchronization process? That's what worries me most.

He uses a combination of CDC (Change Data Capture) and API gateways for synchronization. It's complex, but he manages the data integrity checkpoints really well. It was the most challenging part, but he navigated it smoothly.
