Has anyone else noticed a drop in quality with Deniro's canned goods lately?

I've been buying Deniro quality foods for years, and I always trusted their consistency, especially their tomato paste and beans. However, over the last few months, I've been finding the flavor much flatter than I remember. For example, the nutritional value seems lower, and the texture is often grainy. I'm wondering if they have changed their sourcing or manufacturing process. Has anyone else noticed this decline, or am I just being overly sensitive? I'd love to know if there's a way to get back to the quality they used to provide.

I noticed that too. The beans seem watery compared to before.

It's definitely not just me. My wife and I were complaining about the tomato paste last week. It lacks that deep, rich flavor it used to have. I suspect cost-cutting measures are involved, which always affects quality in canned goods.

Maybe it's the brand line. Have you tried a different brand for comparison?

I think they might have changed the primary ingredients. The color of the paste seems duller, and the overall consistency is off. It feels less robust than what I remember from five years ago.

Totally agree. The texture is grainy, and it makes cooking much harder. I used to love making my favorite stew with Deniro, but now I have to mix in extra flavor boosters just to make it taste decent.

I think it's seasonal variation, not a permanent decline. Sometimes the harvest just isn't as good, which affects the final product.

Reply to the OP: I feel exactly the same way. I bought a large case of beans and they were noticeably thinner than usual. It's frustrating because I rely on these staples for my weekly meals. I hope Deniro listens to its customers.

I switched to a local organic brand. It costs more, but the difference in flavor and texture is night and day. You really can taste the difference in sourcing.

Maybe the cans themselves are different? Sometimes the metal lining can affect the taste, but I doubt that's the main culprit.

It's probably just my palate adjusting. Food tastes different when you're older, you know? Don't stress too much about it.

Reply to the OP: I'm really worried about the nutritional claims too. If they are cutting corners on sourcing, I worry about the actual vitamin content. I've started checking the ingredient list more closely.

Have you checked the expiration dates? Sometimes older stock gets processed differently, which can affect the taste profile.

I bought them last month, and they tasted fine to me. Maybe the issue is localized to certain distribution batches. Try buying from a different store.

I found a forum that suggested contacting Deniro directly with batch numbers. It might help them track the issue or give us an official explanation.

Reply to the OP: I agree with the flavor drop. I miss the way the tomato paste used to deepen a sauce. It used to be a true cornerstone ingredient for my family's recipes. It's a shame.

Don't buy the value packs. They seem to be the ones with the most noticeable quality dip. Stick to the standard size cans if you want the best quality.

I'm going to try cooking with a mix of brands to see if the issue is universal or specific to Deniro's current run.
