I saw some buzz online about this new restaurant concept at the casino, 'Captain Cook's.' I'm really interested in the culinary aspect, but I'm not sure what to expect. Is it more of a themed buffet, or is it actual sit-down fine dining? I heard some people mention the cocktails are amazing, but I'm worried about the food quality matching the hype. If you've been, could you tell me what the best dishes were and if the atmosphere is worth the price point? Any reviews would be hugely appreciated before I book a table.

Oh man, I went last month! Definitely sit-down fine dining, not a buffet. The ambiance is incredible, very nautical but classy.

I found the cocktails amazing, no doubt. But honestly, the food was a bit overpriced for what it was. I expected more depth.

It's definitely worth the hype, especially if you go for the tasting menu. The presentation alone is worth the price point. Book early!

Short answer: Go. Medium answer: Go, but maybe skip the main course and just focus on the appetizers and drinks.

I was worried about the food quality too. My partner and I went, and while the service was impeccable, the main protein dish was surprisingly bland. Maybe stick to the seafood platter instead.

Is it really that expensive? I'm trying to budget for a fun night out, and the dining cost seems steep.

Totally agree with the bland protein comment. I think they need to adjust their sourcing or maybe just offer more variety in the mains. The decor is great, but the food needs a boost.

The atmosphere is 10/10. The themed decor is spot on, making it feel like a grand voyage. It's perfect for a special anniversary or date night.

If you love cocktails, this is your spot. The bartender really knows their stuff. I recommend asking for a custom rum punch.

I went last week and it was surprisingly good. We had the lobster bisque and the seared scallops. Both were top-notch and definitely justified the cost. Don't worry about the hype!

Seriously? I thought the food was better than that. I had the Chilean sea bass and it was flaky and perfectly seasoned. You guys might be too harsh.

It's not a buffet, I promise. It's structured dining. Just book a reservation and let them guide you through the menu options.

I went for a group celebration. It was fun, but maybe a little loud. The casino buzz sometimes spills over into the dining area, making conversation a little difficult.

The dessert menu is criminally underrated. Seriously, you HAVE to try the chocolate lava cake. It was the highlight of the meal for me.

I'd say the experience is worth it for the novelty alone. It's a fun night out, even if the food isn't Michelin star level. Great cocktails though!

How about you try calling them ahead of time? Maybe they have a special deal or a less expensive menu option for first-timers. Asking doesn't hurt!

I agree with the dessert recommendation. And for the cocktails, ask for their 'Captain's Choice' special. It's a signature blend and really hits the spot.
