Does anyone know what the 'mafia 77777' code refers to in the latest game update?

I've been playing the new expansion and keep seeing references to 'mafia 77777' in the lore dumps and some of the hidden messages. It seems to pop up whenever I try to access the high-level missions, but I can't find any official explanation for it. Is this a secret achievement, a specific mission unlock code, or maybe just a piece of flavor text that means nothing? I've checked the forums and wikis, but nothing concrete has been posted yet. Any veteran players who have stumbled across this code or know what it unlocks would be a massive help!

I think it's a quest marker. It appeared right before the boss fight in Sector Gamma.

Long shot, but I read a theory on a Reddit thread that suggested it's a password needed to access the developer console. It might unlock hidden lore files, not necessarily a mission.

Seriously, I spent hours trying to input it into every terminal I found. Nothing happened. Maybe it's just flavor text designed to make us paranoid.

Wait, @GamerTag44, did you check the inventory? Sometimes these codes are actually items you have to use on a specific NPC. I remember finding something similar in the first expansion.

It's definitely a secret achievement. I managed to get it to pop up by completing the three side missions in the industrial district in a specific order. Check the mission log for a hidden reward section.

I'm going with the flavor text theory. The developers love making things look mysterious, but usually, if it's important, they give a hint in the codex or a mission objective.

I agree with @GamerTag44. The inventory check is crucial. I used a specific data chip on a terminal, and the code was displayed as a required input. It opened a side quest called 'The Syndicate's Debt'.

Has anyone noticed that the code only appears when the time of day in the game is set to midnight? I tested it multiple times, and it only worked during that window.

I think it's tied to the faction reputation system. You need to hit a certain level of trust with the 'Black Hand' faction before the code becomes active. Focus on the reputation quests first.

Reply to @GamerTag44: The data chip theory sounds promising. I'll check my inventory immediately. Thanks for the tip!

Just try searching for 'mafia' in the game's main storyline dialogue tree. Sometimes the key isn't a code, but a phrase that triggers the code's relevance. Good luck, everyone!
