I've been digging through some old forum threads and I keep seeing references to 'fafafa gold.' It seems to be mentioned in connection with high-level crafting or perhaps a specific currency exchange rate. I've checked the official wiki multiple times, but there's no mention of it, and I'm worried I'm missing some key lore or update information. Could someone who has played extensively or maybe even modded the game shed some light on this? Is it a rare drop, a trading commodity, or maybe just an old piece of fan speculation? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I remember seeing it mentioned in a modding forum years ago. It wasn't a currency, but rather a catalyst component needed for the 'Aetheric Binding' ritual. You had to combine it with three specific rare drops and a high-level energy source. It seems to be tied to pre-patch content that was never fully integrated into the main game economy. If you are looking at old threads, you are likely looking at modded lore, not current gameplay mechanics.

My theory is that it's a form of pseudo-currency used only in the Black Market exchange. It bypasses the standard gold sinks and is primarily traded between high-level players who are involved in illegal or gray-market crafting. I saw a thread where someone used it to buy a unique crafting blueprint that was otherwise unobtainable. It feels less like a drop and more like a specialized trade commodity.

Be careful reading old forum posts. Sometimes people post elaborate theories based on incomplete data, and those theories can spread as fact. Before you assume it's a key lore element, I suggest checking the official developer blogs or a dedicated, verified fan wiki that updates immediately after patches. It might be that the item was only temporary for a limited-time event that has since ended.
