I recently found this old enamel pin in a box of concert souvenirs. It has 'Bono Paston' written on it, but I'm not sure if that's a proper name or maybe a typo for something else. The design is really unique, featuring a stylized graphic that looks like a microphone mixed with a geometric pattern. I've done some searching online, but nothing comes up about its origin or what 'Paston' refers to in this context. Has anyone else encountered this item, or perhaps knows what era it might be from? Any advice on getting it properly appraised would be hugely appreciated.

You should take pictures and post them on dedicated pin collector forums. They are much better equipped to identify obscure items.

Bono Paston? That name sounds very odd. Could it be a reference to a specific tour stop or a band alias? Check the concert date if possible.

It's probably just a souvenir from a local merch stand. Don't get your hopes up about high value.

I remember seeing some similar pins from the early 90s. The enamel quality often degrades over time, so condition is key for valuation.

The microphone design suggests a performance-related item. If it's from a major tour, the value increases significantly.

Has anyone else encountered this item, or perhaps knows what 'Paston' refers to in this context? I think it might be a typo for 'Boston' or something similar.

I'd recommend checking eBay sold listings for similar enamel pins. It gives you a good baseline idea of what collectors are paying right now.

Be careful with online appraisals. Many sites overinflate the value just to get you to use their services. Get at least two professional opinions.

If it's a limited run, the value could be surprisingly high. Look for any serial numbers or tiny markings on the back.

I think you might be mixing up the name. Maybe it's 'Bono' and the pin is from a location called 'Paston' that wasn't a major stop.

I'm guessing it's from the Britpop era, maybe late 90s. The geometric style fits that aesthetic perfectly.

A local vintage market might have the answer. Sometimes the best history comes from people who just collect old concert junk.

I agree with the suggestion to check eBay. But remember to filter by 'completed' listings, not just active ones. That's where the real data is.

It's possible 'Paston' is an inside joke or a reference to a specific piece of art or a local charity event the band supported. That would make it extremely niche and valuable to hardcore fans.

You mentioned the microphone design. Does it look vintage, like an old Shure model, or modern and stylized? That detail helps a lot.

I once found a pin that looked exactly like this, and it turned out to be a prototype sample pin, which increased its value tenfold. Keep searching for any evidence of limited production!

If you can find a photo of the original tour poster or program booklet it came with, that would be the ultimate key to dating and valuing the pin.

I think the initial assumption that it's a major piece of memorabilia is wrong. It might just be a fun piece of fan merch. Don't stress over the value!
