I'm planning a trip to the city next month and I've heard good things about the Argosy Casino, but I'm having trouble figuring out which branch is most convenient. I'm staying closer to the historic district, and I'm hoping to find one that is easily accessible by public transport. Has anyone actually visited the different locations? I'm mainly interested in knowing which one has the best selection of slot machines and if the parking situation is manageable. Any local tips or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated before I book my hotel.

You should definitely check out the one near the river. It's super walkable from the historic district.

I went last month and found the downtown branch was packed. The slot selection was decent, but the noise level was overwhelming. I recommend checking the hours online first.

The one closest to the main bus terminal is the easiest. Public transport access is unmatched there. Parking is a nightmare, though.

I found that the location slightly outside the immediate core, but still accessible by a quick bus ride, had the best atmosphere. It felt less touristy and the machines were newer. It's worth the extra 10 minutes of travel time.

Does anyone know if the Riverfront location has valet parking? I hate dealing with street meters.

Totally agree about the river location. It's beautiful, and the walk from the transit stop is pleasant. Just be prepared for crowds on weekends.

I heard the one near the old market has the biggest selection of slot machines. It's a bit further, but if slots are your priority, that's your spot. The public transport links are okay, though.

The parking situation is awful everywhere. Seriously, look for a garage a block away and walk. It's cheaper and less stressful.

Reply to the user who asked about the riverfront: Yes, they have valet, but it's expensive. I recommend using the nearby transit hub instead if you're staying in the historic district.

I'd say the one near the main transit hub. It's a solid mix of convenience and selection. It's easy to get to from almost anywhere downtown.

I disagree. The one near the market has a better vibe. It feels more like a local spot, not just a tourist trap. You'll get better service there.

Short answer: Downtown branch. Best convenience. Long answer: It's convenient, but the slot selection is mediocre. Manageable parking, but only if you arrive early.

Just use the bus route 12. It drops you right across the street from the main casino. It's the most reliable way to get there, no matter which location you choose.

I recommend calling ahead. Casino hours and even the best location can change, and they might have maintenance closures. Don't rely only on old forum posts!

For pure slot machine volume, the one near the river is unbeatable. It's a massive floor plan. Just plan for a bit of a walk from the bus stop, but it's worth it for the variety.
