Does anyone know how to integrate the Admiral app with third-party scheduling tools?

I just downloaded the Admiral app for managing my project timelines, and it seems incredibly powerful. However, I'm having trouble syncing the task deadlines with my existing Google Calendar setup. I've followed all the setup guides, but the connection keeps failing or only updates manually. Has anyone managed to get a stable, automatic sync running? I'm hoping to use this app as our central hub, so reliable integration is critical for us. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the API documentation? Sometimes the sync needs a specific OAuth scope enabled.

I had the exact same issue. It turns out you have to use the 'Advanced Sync' setting, not the basic connection. It was hidden in the settings menu.

Short answer: It's notoriously flaky. I'm using Zapier as a middleware solution. It requires a paid plan, but it's reliable.

Wait, are you using the mobile app or the desktop version? Sometimes the sync logic differs depending on the platform. I found that the desktop version syncs better if you manually trigger the sync every few hours.

Did you try clearing the cache on both the Admiral app and Google Calendar's connection settings? Sometimes it's just a corrupted token that needs refreshing.

I agree with the Zapier suggestion. It's the only way I've found to get true two-way synchronization without constant manual intervention. It handles the conflict resolution too.

Has anyone figured out if there's a dedicated Chrome extension for this? I'd rather not deal with Zapier's pricing structure if a simple extension works.

The official forums suggested contacting support directly. They told me it was a known bug that would be patched in the next minor update (v3.1.2). Keep an eye out for that.

I think the issue might be how deadlines are formatted. Admiral uses a specific date format that Google Calendar doesn't always interpret correctly unless it's in ISO 8601 format. You might need a custom script.

Yes, the API key approach is definitely more robust than the built-in connector. It gives you granular control over what data is pushed and when.

Just use IFTTT. It's free for basic connections and might be simpler than Zapier if you only need one-way sync from Admiral to Google.

I'm really struggling with this too. I followed the guide and it just gives me a generic 'Authentication Failed' error, even when I re-enter my credentials multiple times. Is anyone else seeing this specific error code?

It's a common frustration. I recommend checking if your Google Calendar has any third-party access restrictions enabled, as that can sometimes block the necessary permissions for external apps like Admiral.

The API key method is the way to go. If you're comfortable with basic coding, writing a small Python script to manage the sync will give you maximum reliability and customization. It's a bit of a project, but worth the effort.

I found that if I set the sync frequency to 'Every 15 Minutes' instead of 'On Change', it forces a more complete data dump and seems to resolve the intermittent failures I was having.
