I'm thinking about trying out Indigo's online care services, specifically the skin consultation package, but I'm really unsure about the quality compared to in-person visits. I've read some mixed reviews, and I'm worried about whether the virtual assessment is thorough enough to give accurate recommendations. Has anyone used this service for chronic skin issues, or just general maintenance? I'd really appreciate some real-world feedback on the platform usability and the actual expertise of the consultants. Thanks in advance for any insights!

I used it for acne flare-ups. It was okay, but nothing beats seeing a dermatologist face-to-face.

Honestly, I found the virtual assessment quite thorough. They asked detailed questions about my routine and lifestyle, which made me feel heard. I'd recommend it for initial general maintenance checks.

Short and sweet: Great for basic advice, not for serious chronic issues.

I had a consultation for eczema. The consultant was knowledgeable, but I felt like they couldn't physically examine the patches of skin properly. It was helpful for product recommendations, though.

Totally agree with the OP. For chronic issues, you really need that hands-on examination. I found their follow-up product suggestions useful, but the initial diagnosis felt incomplete.

I found the platform very user-friendly. The video quality was excellent, and the consultant was very patient. I used it for routine anti-aging advice and it was spot on. Worth the money for a second opinion.

Reply to the OP: I think the quality is surprisingly high. They use high-resolution photo analysis, and the questions they ask mimic a physical exam quite well. It gave me a solid plan for my dry winter skin.

It was expensive. Don't rely on it for anything major.

My experience was mixed. The consultant was polite and professional, but their recommendations felt generic. It was like getting advice from a really nice, but slightly underqualified, general practitioner. I wish I had gone in person.

I recommend it for travel! When you can't get to a clinic, it's a lifesaver. Just manage expectations that it's not a replacement for a full dermatology visit.

I had a consultation for acne. They were good, but I think the best results came from combining their advice with a physical visit to a local dermatologist. Don't rely solely on the virtual aspect.

The platform usability is great. Everything is intuitive. But regarding expertise, I'd say it's best for product matching and lifestyle tweaks, not deep medical diagnosis.

I found the virtual assessment thorough enough for my general maintenance needs. They helped me overhaul my entire skincare routine based on my climate and skin type. Highly recommend it for beginners!

Definitely wait until your skin issues are stable before trying this. It's great for preventative care, but if you're dealing with active breakouts, see a pro.

I think the key is knowing what to ask. If you go in with specific concerns and detailed photos, they can be very helpful. It's about preparation as much as the service itself.

It was surprisingly accurate for my mild rosacea. The consultant focused heavily on triggers and barrier repair, which was exactly what I needed. I'm now much more confident in my routine.

I disagree with the idea that it's useless. For follow-up care and checking progress, it's perfect. It's a great bridge between appointments.
