Hi everyone, my family and I are planning a trip to the Beau Rivage area next fall, and we are trying to decide on the best accommodation. We are looking at both the standard rooms and the larger suite options, but I'm overwhelmed by the descriptions. Does anyone who has stayed there could give us some advice? Specifically, we need enough space for two adults and two children, and we'd love to know which room type offers the best value without sacrificing comfort. Also, are the connecting rooms actually easy to use, or is there a lot of hassle? Any firsthand feedback on the noise levels or the view from different rooms would be hugely appreciated!

Definitely go for the family suite. The space difference compared to standard rooms is massive, especially with kids. It makes packing and moving around so much easier.

I stayed last year and found the connecting rooms okay, but only if you don't mind the hallway noise. It was a bit of a trek between the rooms, honestly. Maybe consider two adjacent standard rooms instead?

If budget is the main concern, the standard rooms are fine for a couple, but for two kids, you will feel cramped. We found the value in the larger suites was worth the extra cost just for the extra square footage. We recommend checking out the corner units for the best view.

Short and sweet: Suite wins. Skip the standard rooms.

I agree with the suite recommendation. We had a large family and the separate living area was a lifesaver. It allowed the kids to play while the adults could relax without feeling like they were constantly bumping into each other. It truly changes the dynamic of the trip.

Connecting rooms are fine, but make sure you book the ones that face the same direction. Otherwise, the noise from the main thoroughfare can be really disruptive, especially at night. Also, the view from the lower floors is terrible.

Are you asking about the specific wing? Sometimes the noise level depends more on which side of the hotel you are located. I recommend asking the concierge directly when booking to place you away from high-traffic areas like the main lobby entrance.

We found the best value was actually booking two separate rooms that were close together, but not connected. It gave us the privacy of two separate spaces but the convenience of being right next to each other. It was a good compromise.

Totally agree about the space. We were in a standard room and felt like we were constantly tripping over each other's luggage. For a family, you need the dedicated space of a suite, period.

Just a warning about the view. Don't assume all rooms have a great view. Some of the standard rooms face a service alley, which was disappointing. Always ask for photos or a specific description of the view when booking.
