I'm planning a weekend trip to Las Vegas and staying at the Orleans Hotel Casino. I've heard the casino has some great amenities, but I'm not sure where to focus my time. For someone who isn't a seasoned gambler, what are the best areas to spend time? Should I prioritize the spa, the pool, or just sticking to the main casino floor? Any tips on navigating the resort and finding good deals on dining or entertainment would be hugely appreciated. I want to make the most of my limited time there.

Focus on the non-gaming amenities first. The pool and spa are great ways to decompress before hitting the casino floor. It's a much more relaxed approach for a first-timer.

Honestly, just enjoy the atmosphere. Walk around, grab a drink, and don't feel pressured to gamble. The main casino floor is fun even if you aren't playing.

For dining deals, check out the hotel's daily specials. Many restaurants offer 'happy hour' deals that are much better than trying to find a single 'deal' for the whole night. Also, the bar scene is excellent for people-watching.

I'd prioritize the pool area, especially if you're traveling with others. It's a great way to burn off steam and meet people without spending money. The pool often has themed events.

The spa is worth it, but book an appointment well in advance. It's a nice splurge, but don't make it your main focus if time is limited. Allocate a couple of hours maximum.

Totally agree about the pool. It's the best way to spend a non-gambling night. Don't forget to check out the arcade area too; it's fun and less intense than the slot machines.

Speaking of dining, have you looked into the local bars off-site? Sometimes the best Vegas experience isn't even inside the resort. It can save you money and give you a different vibe.

Stick to the main casino floor, but only play low-stakes table games like blackjack. It's engaging, you feel like you're gambling, but the risk is low. It's a good entry point.

I think you should split your time. Start with the pool/spa in the afternoon, then hit the casino for a couple of hours in the evening. This pacing prevents burnout and lets you enjoy everything.

Don't overlook the entertainment schedule. Check the Orleans website for free shows or music acts. Sometimes a free show is the highlight of the whole trip and costs nothing.

Reply to the 'pool' comment: Yes, but bring a towel and don't rely on the resort's provided ones. Also, check if they have any day passes for the pool if you plan to spend all day.

If you are worried about time, I recommend picking ONE thing: either a full spa day OR a full evening of dining/entertainment. Trying to do everything will just feel rushed and exhausting.

For a non-gambler, the best 'strategy' is simply to explore the grounds. Take a walk, enjoy the architecture, and maybe grab a coffee. The resort itself is part of the fun.
