I'm planning a trip to the Baraga area and staying at the Ojibwa Casino Hotel. I've heard the bar is great, but I'm not sure what kind of vibe I'll get. Is it more of a quiet cocktail lounge, or is it loud and lively? I'm looking for recommendations on specific drinks or maybe even a good time to go if I want to avoid the biggest crowds. Any tips on what to order or what activities are usually happening there would be super helpful before I book my trip.

It's definitely lively, especially after 8 PM. Go early if you want to chat with the bartender, but stick around if you want the full casino buzz.

I went last month. It was a mix. The main bar area is loud, but there's a quieter corner near the lounge seating that is perfect for a cocktail and people-watching.

Try the local craft beer selection. They have a rotating tap list that is way better than what you'd find elsewhere. Ask the server what's new!

Avoid Friday nights if you want to avoid the biggest crowds. Thursday or Saturday afternoon is usually perfect. The vibe is high energy but not overwhelming.

I recommend the 'Ojibwa Signature Martini.' It's their house special and it's surprisingly good. Don't ask for anything too complicated, just stick to their recommendations.

I agree with the earlier post. If you want a quiet vibe, ask for a table away from the main gaming floor entrance. It makes a huge difference.

If you are into live music, check the schedule for the main atrium. They usually have acoustic sets in the early evening, which is a much calmer experience than the bar itself.

I found that the best time to go is right around 5 PM. It's busy enough to feel energetic, but not yet packed with the late-night crowd. It's the sweet spot.

Seriously, check out the happy hour deals. They are usually running appetizers and drink discounts between 3 PM and 5 PM. Great way to save money and still get a good start to the night.

Replying to the 5 PM advice: Yes, 5 PM is perfect. Also, they have a nice little outdoor patio area that is less known and is super relaxing if the weather is good. It's a great spot for pre-dinner drinks.

I'm guessing it's loud and lively. Casinos are built for that energy. Bring comfortable shoes and just enjoy the atmosphere. Don't worry too much about the vibe!

For drinks, ask about their whiskey selection. They have a dedicated bar section for spirits that is amazing. Tell them you like smoky flavors and they will guide you.

I think the bar is great, but you need to know what you want. If you want a sophisticated cocktail lounge feel, go to the corner booth. If you want pure party energy, stay near the main entrance.

The staff are really friendly. Don't be afraid to chat with the bartenders; they are usually very knowledgeable about the drinks and the local area. It makes the experience much better.
