Hi everyone, I'm planning a trip to Copenhagen next month and I've heard great things about the local casinos. I'm really interested in trying my hand at some slots and maybe some table games, but I'm not sure which venue is the best for a first-timer. Are there any specific casinos that are known for being welcoming or having a good atmosphere? Also, does anyone know if there are any special deals or happy hours I should look out for while I'm there? Any local advice would be hugely appreciated!

Hey! If you're a first-timer, I'd recommend checking out Casino Royale. It's known for having a great, lively atmosphere without being overwhelming. They have a good mix of slots and decent table options like blackjack.

Honestly, the biggest tip is to set a strict budget before you go. Don't get carried away by the lights and sounds. Have fun, but be responsible!

I went last year and found that the smaller, less flashy venues often have better service and a more local feel. They aren't always the biggest, but they are more welcoming to casual players. Check out the recommendations on a local travel blog for specific names.

Happy hours are rare, but always check the official casino websites a week before your trip. Sometimes they advertise 'welcome bonuses' for new members, which is your best bet for a deal.

Totally agree about setting a budget. I once lost way too much because I didn't plan ahead. It's a fun distraction, but treat it with caution.

Has anyone played poker there? I'm really interested in seeing if the local player base is good for cash games. Is it more common than blackjack?

I actually found that the casino near the harbor had a fantastic vibe. It wasn't the biggest, but the staff were super friendly and helpful when I was trying to figure out the slot machines. It made the whole experience much less intimidating for a newbie like me.

The staff were lovely! They really went out of their way to explain the rules of the table games to me, which was a huge relief. It felt very inclusive.

I heard the one downtown is great for slots, but maybe check out a local bar that has a small gaming area instead. Sometimes those are more authentic and less 'casino-y'.

I think the atmosphere is key. For a first time, go somewhere that feels relaxed. Don't pick the place that screams 'mega-resort' if you want a cozy night out.

Do you think the language barrier is a big deal? I'm not fluent in Danish, so I was worried about communication when I needed help with the machines.

The staff were very accommodating. They spoke excellent English and were patient enough to walk me through the mechanics of the table games. It made me feel really comfortable right away.

I'd recommend calling ahead. They might have a specific 'visitor package' or a reduced rate for non-residents. Don't assume they only cater to locals!
