I was cleaning out some old boxes today and found a Siru mobile phone. It must be from the early 2000s, and it instantly took me back. I remember spending hours on it, especially playing those simple but addictive games. Does anyone know where I could find some original specifications for this model? I'm particularly interested in knowing if there were any specific ROMs or if anyone has photos of the original accessories. Any information on how to get it working again would be hugely appreciated.

Oh man, the Siru! I remember those. They were absolute beasts for their time. I think they ran on some kind of proprietary OS, maybe based on Java ME, but it was really unique.

Do you remember the model number? Sometimes that helps narrow down the specs. I think I saw a forum post years ago mentioning a 'Siru-X' variant.

I only played it for a few months. The games were fun, especially the little puzzle ones. I don't recall any specific ROMs, but maybe checking old gaming forums dedicated to 2000s feature phones would help.

Short and sweet: Hard to find info.

I actually had one! It was amazing. I remember the battery life was decent, which was rare back then. For specs, try searching for 'Siru phone manual PDF' combined with the year range.

Totally agree. The sheer nostalgia factor is huge. I found a picture of the original charger and a little data cable on eBay, but it was expensive.

A few years back, I tried to get a Siru running on a modern emulator, but the compatibility was terrible. It seems like the hardware was quite specialized.

Is_reply: true. @User123, I think the 'Siru-X' was the high-end model. It supposedly had a color screen and a much better processor than the basic ones. Maybe check specialized vintage tech collector groups.

I remember the little games! The one where you had to match colors on a grid was my favorite. Do you remember the name of that game?

I'm not sure about ROMs, but if you are looking for repair help, finding an old service manual or a dedicated enthusiast group for early 2000s electronics might be your best bet. They often have schematics.

I found a forum dedicated to 'Pocket Tech Classics'. They might have pictures of accessories or even people who remember the original packaging.

Is_reply: true. @User123, I also saw a mention of a specific memory card format used with Siru phones. It wasn't standard SD, which made things difficult for modern repair attempts.

The accessories are the hardest part. They were often sold as bundles, so finding a single replacement piece is nearly impossible unless you hit a lucky collector.

I think the key is searching for the manufacturer's name alongside 'service manual' and 'early 2000s'. Sometimes the brand name changes or is obscure.
