I've been playing the Las Palmas game for about ten hours now, and I'm totally stuck on the main storyline. Specifically, the quest involving the old lighthouse and the local folklore feels really opaque. I've read through the in-game journal multiple times, but there's no clear objective marker pointing me in the right direction. Has anyone figured out if there's a specific item I need to collect first, or if I need to talk to a certain NPC at a specific time of day? Any tips on solving this particular puzzle would be hugely appreciated so I can keep progressing through the island's lore.

Dude, you need the 'Tidal Lantern' item. It's hidden in the lower market district, near the docks. Bring it to the lighthouse keeper at dusk.

I found this out by watching a YouTube guide, but it's really frustrating. The journal is intentionally vague. Try talking to the fisherman's wife, Elena, after you've acquired the three seashells.

Wait, did you check the local museum? Sometimes the clues aren't in the journal, but in the physical exhibits. Look for anything related to pre-colonial maritime history.

Short answer: Talk to the old man by the pier. He gives you the key.

I think the timing is key. You need to be there at midnight, and you must have the 'Song of the Sea' tune playing. It's a puzzle, not just a quest objective. I spent hours figuring this out.

Is_reply: true. @User123, the seashells are only useful if you combine them with the specific herb found on the eastern cliff face. Elena will only listen to the story if you have the correct combination.

Don't worry about the folklore part right now. Focus on the physical puzzle at the lighthouse base. There are three levers that need to be pulled in a specific sequence based on the constellations shown on the wall.

I found a forum thread from last year that detailed this. It mentioned that the key isn't an item, but a piece of dialogue. You have to reference the specific poem found in the town square.

Are you sure you've checked the hidden passages? Sometimes the main path is a red herring. I found a secret entrance behind the abandoned tailor shop that bypasses the main storyline difficulty.

is_reply: true. @User123, I disagree. The timing isn't midnight. It's sunset, but only if you are carrying the lantern. The lantern is the critical piece.

Try checking the local radio station's broadcast logs. Sometimes the lore hints are delivered through environmental audio cues, not dialogue.

It's a stealth puzzle. You need to sneak past the guard and steal the logbook from the captain's office. The logbook contains the coordinates for the next step.

Long read: I spent an entire afternoon mapping out the area. The lighthouse isn't the objective itself; it's the location where you need to gather three specific ingredients: salt, dried kelp, and a feather from a sea bird. Once you have those, you must return to the keeper and present them at the correct time of day (noon). This combination triggers the next quest stage, which involves the local fisherman.

Check the NPC roster. Is there anyone you haven't spoken to yet? Sometimes the solution is just talking to someone who seems unimportant.

The poem reference is correct, but you need to use the *second* stanza, not the first. The NPC who gives you the dialogue prompt is the one who sells the antique maps near the waterfront.
